the point is to add few 8 mineral patches so the CC cant land on.... its standard for every SC map


Wouldn't that make it too hard for the other races?

It wouldn't affect other races at all if they drop 6+ workers on the island.


But for terran it would be still pretty easy to take it.You need to get a few workers that will not be mining while the terran can immediately start mining.

I do think turrets on an island are too strong to assult. They fixed this in war3 by adding water - where you cant build, but where you can drop units.

The CC wouldn't have to land. One option would be as Raelcun mentioned, that you put bigger mineral stacks than 5 SCVs can mine there. Yet that would change the character of the "min blocked" expansion points.

In BW it only denied the terrans faster expansion but once you have drop it wouldn't delay the expansion too much for any race. If you put more minerals there, it would nearly be the same effect as destructible rocks.

Make it have 30 minerals, 5 too many for 5 scvs and a drop can easily carry 6 or multiple stacks of 0 minerals so it takes a while to mine out. Any of those options work there are ways to block it with non destructable units.

Just the standard method of not having enough room for the CC to land like on Python should be a good solution. The hidden Terran island expansions are quite troublesome on quite a few of these maps.


The point is that scvs can unload from a floating command center so there has to be enough minerals to prevent them from mining it out as if not it only delays by a few seconds.

Oh of course... then having 30 mineral stacks should work. They really shouldn't be able to unload from a cloating CC though O_o I didn't know that, I apologize

Why is Blistering Sand supposed to be hard for Protoss?

When they go Phoenix I'm in a lot trouble and well, 4gate push wins everything anyways. You cannot possible build enough Spines to hold that off.
