Wow 1st game on Steppes, so mech T favoured...and yet idrA plays extremely well holding off hellion +viking harass. Really well played game and extremely enjoyable.
TLO is so painfully passive with his army. If his harass doesn't work he's usually pretty screwed against a player that can power well and expand aggressively (which is what Idra does)
Super passive game. But kudos to Idra for an impenetrable defence. TLO tried to harass, but he couldn't find any chinks in Idra's armor. Sick tank spread anyway.

How is the natural easy to defend? Hellions run by spine crawlers easily, its a wide open space..Tanks constantly siege on the low ground just like Match Point....I fail to see how you can say it is an easy natural to defend.
Yea but the required skill set is, like I said, identical. If ur pro at Sc1 you're also extremely good at Sc2, once u figure out the basic info
Also man, Idras style is pretty much the direct counter to TLOs
Timings and unit reactions aren't basic info.
And yea, that was a poorly played game by TLO.
Timings are useful at the very highest level of play yea, but knowing what units counter wat, a stable build order, and just your sc1 mechanics is enough to play extremely well in sc2. I'm C in BW and I got to diamond easily just by relying on my BW mechanics

I think it's partly because TLO's ultras don't suck, and he had too much respect for ultras. He sees ultras: he ggs. ^^ I was interested to see at least attempt to defend. Nvm, well, well played. IdrA taking infinite amount of bases and creeping the map in no time.
