unrelated question... again going back to demuslim's stream, in the beginning when he spams workers to minerals... how do you make the minerals "splash"

Is there any general guide on how to play mech in TvT? I was searching the strategy portal and the op of this thread, but couldn't find anything. Even the Terran Mech Resources thread lists nothing and Strelok streams too little... ;;

Same here... I have my tvt build of 12-rax 15-refinery 17-oc 20- cc 21-factory -starport drops of hellions and marines
but this doesn't really work late game. If I can finish them with one or 2 battles then I have it but if not, I struggle to switch to tanks and such. Is there a replay I can watch?

It seems as though a lot of Zerg players are getting the knack of playing vs bio/mine, plus with the proposed mine nerf he is probably just exploring other options.
People forget that hellbats are still pretty strong with bfh, especially against ling/bling. Though a lot weaker vs roaches and ofc muta...

To switch to tanks just lift the factory from the reactor make a techlab on the factory and the rax get stim and start tanks. Add on extra rax an ebay and a 3rd cc then you just start making marines and tanks. As far as replays go there should be some WCS ones, will have a look and edit this post if I find one.

He never seemed to do well lately in TvZ with bio mine. Glad he's going back to bio hellbat, it's still sick.

Ben said that he was going hellbat because his FPS is extremely low when he streams so his micro is not good enough to compete with mines..... Which is something he said on stream ahhaha

Considering he plays medium/high settings with very little lag from his end, I highly doubt it's his frame rate.

About the mineral splashing thing (or at least what I understand you're asking about), he plays with effects on ultra, which is what makes the particle effect on minerals especially noticeable. This is also probably the cause of his lack of FPS as the effects setting is CPU bound, and definitely reduces FPS even without streaming. I never really liked mines either, as they feel too random to me (it's really hard to predict which amount of stuff they're gonna kill, and where and how, and if they are not going to blow up half your own army). The style HeroMarines was using on his stream seemed pretty good (Hellbat/thors/bio), and might be a good option after the potential nerf. I'm not sure we'll still want to use mines if they reduce the radius that much.

He used to go bio hellbat earlier before the nerf to and I think even beat JD with them.

Quick question. TvP on Yeonsu. If i wall off i can lose 2 depots to 10 gate msc/stalker harass. If i don't wall off i can die to proxy 10 gate. Are there any solutions to this?

It's really retarded You mean they should remove all 4 spawn point maps since it is a freaking russian roulette game. It is completely random if you scout in the correct direction. If I am lucky I scout an extremely greedy opening and punish it, if I am not lucky I am behind due to spawn locations...
Scout with depot probe, if he does something like that, make bunker on low ground. At best then he can snipe one depot.

But in general I would just make bunker + building wall to protect your mineral line. Only if you managed to kill his probe and he has only one pylon powering the gates I would pull SCVs to kill the pylon.

Tanks help a lot as long as they're positioned well where they can't easily be sniped.
