Please do! You could also post links to some of my other work as well. Speaking of which, have you considered learning TheCore hotkey layout. It would give you a strong advantage in the Master's league once you learn it and works very well with TheStaircase. Coming off of a 6 month break is likely a perfect situation to make this kind of investment.

Great, thanks for that, I might try to integrate it.

I'm new to The Core layout, and am trying your Staircase learning system. Question: since the most recent patch the score screen no longer displays average resource collection rate (at least not that I can find). Is there any way around this, or some other place I'm not looking? It would seem that without this figure the spendingq.com feature has been rendered fairly obsolete :/

You are encouraged to unlock the units in whatever order you want! So when you get to a new step, just add a new unit of your choosing ![]() @ogennyy we are working with ggtracker.com for all benchmarks. Right now it is tracking Spending Skill which is a more accurate representation of SQ because it factors the game length into the equation. All you have to do is make your account at ggtracker.com and start uploading replays. It will keep track of everything for you ![]()

I am just starting to learn sc2 with the core and I am willing to try the staircase; I have several questions : 1. While I understand the goals in term of benchmark, I don't really know how to realize them w.r.t to the hotkeying execution constraint, or to state it otherwise : how to use efficiently hotkeys (subgroupping, not using warpin key for protoss , ... ) I think that it is possible to achieve an objective but using wrong or inneficient hotkey mechanics if they are not well understood, and there is nothing more awful than learning wrong techniques (good luck to unlearn) that would be great to have some kind of detailed hotkeying tutorial 2] Use at least 3 control groups. 1 for your cc+ups/nex+ups/hatch, 1 for your injecting queens+ups/unit producing structures, 1 for your army can you pls detail this ? too much acronyms :-) thanks Shao

2) That sentence reads: Use at least 3 control groups. 1 will have your Command Center and all your upgrade facilities. 1 will have all of your army producing structures. 1 will have your army. Unless you're Zerg in which case: 1 will have your Hatcheries. 1 will have your Queens and all upgrade facilities. 1 will have your army. The above assumes you are using TheCore or Darkgrid or something with cycling through subgroups because if you're not then you'll need even more control groups.

But people on laptops don't have that option so they may not use subgroups. 2) That sentence reads: Use at least 3 control groups. 1 will have your Command Center and all your upgrade facilities. 1 will have all of your army producing structures. 1 will have your army. I realized when I was at my best and staying in masters/GM SS I was making a lot more macro hatches cause hey I had to because it was only lings. But it seems like I forgot this when I went into roches because they were more expensive, started doing it again and it fixed the money spending problem. ![]()

Step 1 - minerals only, no micro. So just make marines and A-move. Step 2 - your only constriction is SCVs and Marines Only. Build any building you want, get any upgrades you want, and micro your heart out. Step 3 you add a new unit of your choice (suggested unit order is on the Reference Spreadsheet Step 4 repeat step 3 until all units are unlocked Step 5 profit
