My problem is that I'm using a very unusal hotkey setup where both 'R' and 'ALT' is a unit/building/whatever hotkey. I have G bound to repair. I can't find a way to rebind the auto-repair toggle. I tried shift+r, shift+g, ctrl+r, ctrl+g etc. I tried right clicking repair in the hotkey menu etc.. | ||

The Alt modifier's behavior of toggling autocast is similar to Shift's queueing and toggling selections and Control's selecting all of a particular group. They can't be changed. What do you have Alt doing in your new setup ? Because you really want it to act as a modifier. | ||

So... you've assigned a control group to Alt ? If that's the case, if you have a programmable keyboard you can change Alt to something else in the keyboard driver so you can still have that 'modifier' functionality, but other than that, I'll just leave it as being a pretty bad idea to make Alt, by itself, a control group. The three modifier keys are very powerful in custom hotkey setups and using one as a control group wastes about every benefit it offers. Sorry. Might want to rethink that. | ||

It's the same thing for all spells you can toggle into auto mode - Carrier interceptors, auto explode on banelings, SCV repair, etc. Alt + that key is right-clicking in the command card. | ||
