tvz u can play 12 racks 13 gas to 2nd cc fast hellions pressure..
make 6 hellions, runby his natural or maybe to his main, roast some drones, follow up getting your natural and u can either go for a 3rd, go for hellion banshee to a 3rd, or just go 2 base timing push with a) 1-1 MMM; 2) 1-1 mmtank 3) 2-2 marine tank (there you have 5 options of followup) gg!
Aganist protoss a nice build is to 2 racks (1 reactor 1 techlab) to pressure....... on 35 to 43 supply you hit... Right after you leave your base, cut production and get your expansion. It works on maps like ohana and others.

Oh yeah, the 2 rax build is pretty good, assuming your opponent goes for a Nexus first or 1 gate expand. However, the reactor hellion build just straight up isn't viable anymore. The new queens destroy it, and good luck getting it by unscouted.

hello i need help in tvp , since hero pulled out the void ray all-in this nasl against taeja i belive it was, i have encountered it alot on ladder, how do i deal with it if i go 1 rax expand. I also have truble reading it if i dont find the stargate, as i do the cc in my base it sometimes looks like the protoss is going a safe 3 gate expand when i get my scv after the stalker comes out. what signs are there for this build as its an auto loss for me atm. i defended it once but failed to kill the void ray, i then took my expo and bunkered up, he came back a min later with 2 void rays and alot of sentries, killed me off with ease.

Check if he got early double gas.

Well, while that is important you also need to do a few more things. If you see double gas, first of all you want to see how many probes he has on gas, because if it's 2 on each gas, he will be doing a sentry based fast expand. However if it's 3, then you are facing most likely DT's, blink stalkers or a void ray all in. No matter which one it is, you need to be vigilant at scouting out proxy pylons, and in the proxy voidray case, the proxy stargate. If you really need to at around 7:15 scan and you should see for sure.

A lot of the time it is, but obviously you do actually have to be vigilant with scouting and make sure he did expand.

I have a question regarding TvP.
Around the 14 minute mark, i've noticed people adding on their additional rax, going from 5 to 8 or 9. During my own games, i've been un able to do so until around 17 minutes due to not floating enough minerals to make units, upgrades, and additional infrastructure.
So how should i go about making additional barracks? Should i cut unit production entirely @ 14 minutes to only make barracks?
My income isn't a issue as i keep up with expanding and scv production, I simply cannot afford barracks while making units and upgrades until about 17 minutes.
Also, given that a toss goes colossus first, when is a decent time to make a ghost academy to prepare for ht transition?

ok thx alot, i scouted 2 gas every game i faced it , thats good to know, i also send out another scv, last game i identified it becouse he still hadnt expanded . The thing is i went double bunker , didnt take my expansion and cranked out marins like crazy, stim finished and i held off the first push, i took my expo and sent out another scv so i knew hes 2:e puch with 2 void rays and alot of sentries were coming, i still lost so badly, he just made donouts around my marins and killed them off with his void rays+ stalkers. How do i defend it properly. should i get double viking instead of the medivacs that pops around that time ?

Terran here, been MIA for about 5 months, was playing at a high Gold level 1v1 when I left so nothing to write home about. I had a newborn that woke up constantly so playing in the evenings was a no-go, but now that he sleeps through the night... I am back
Instead of discussing on which builds are best, or whatever... what is the best method to getting better? Now that I can play on a semi-regular basis, I want to practice to make myself better -- not just to play at my previous level.
But to the builds and what to build on... I don't think things have changed drastically (I read about the buff then nerf of the infestor).
What are the go-to builds for TvP/TvT/TvZ? Something I can build off of.

Well, for TvP the 'standard' build at the moment is 1 rax FE, 2 more rax, double gas then you go for a +1 medivac timing. If you search around for the Bomber build you should find a guide. With TvZ, it's normally hellion banshee of a 1 rax FE, into marine tank or mech. Though I do believe at the moment marine tank is generally considered stronger. Some players like Polt are doing variations of the standard build in TvZ though, for example going for a MM hellion push at around the 9 min mark to catch the Zerg off guard. If you want to find an example of that then just watch pretty much any TvZ recently and you should find a plethora of information. TvT...well that hasn't changed really, it's still 1 rax fe for foreigners into marine tank or mech, and then some aggressive opening for Koreans into marine tank or mech. Really, you want to watch TvT's and just look for builds you like, as there is no 'standard'.

Get a few marauders with concussive shells and don't be afraid to pull SCVs since if you hold it, you will be ahead.

You should be on 3 bases at 14 minutes and that should be able to support additional raxes. Although you don't want to add them all at the same time. What you want to do is to sneak them in one by one starting from when you get your third which is around 11 minutes. Also you don't need 9 raxes at 14 minutes if you are putting reactors on them.
About ghost transition thing, it really depends on what toss is doing. Get a ghost academy when you can afford it since it isn't that expensive. Ghosts are not bad lategame even if he only goes colossi.

Hi, gold T here, have some trouble with P opening templar with storm (2 base) or massing them mid-late game, seen 1 colossus 2 stalker and like 20 templars.. I find it difficult to prepare for it as at that level could come up at any time and no shame massing them...and usually when i go ghosts it's too late as i wont have time to get energy and a regular army just melts in 1 second. Any solution? tanks?

TY Need better scouting then, protoss can't magically make twenty HTs in the middle of a game, so scout more. Most pros will make two collosi and switch to HTs without thermal lance, but you should always be poking around and seeing what their army composition is. If a protoss is seriously going 1 collosi, 2 stalkers, and 20 HTs, then abuse their immobility. HTs are slow as shit, so scan and drop, and send 2 or 3 marauders to snipe a templar or bait a storm while your Ghost academy finishes.

Can you submit a replay of this happening? I would be glad to help but 20 high templar seems more like a late game composition rather then mid game as it is extremely gas heavy.
Aside from that, you really have to get some good emp's or snipes off to reduce their numbers, and have some decent splits with your marine/marauder ball. Keep scans available so that you can eliminate observers to prevent feedback on your ghosts or keep a raven in your army.

Thanks, actually writing about it led me to think..if they go 2 base HT no need to actually attack into it and should prepare anyways (after signs of it) for ghosts in mid-late since they mostly turtle up with it so plenty of time

As i now face higher level P it happens less ofter, i'll post a replay as soon as it happens, yeah i should really prepare with ghosts for late game anyways, hard to split vs so many HT, storms never end...

In tvt, when your opponent is going mech and you want to abuse that with 1-2 banshees, i was wondering when and how to make the transition into the early game air.
I usually open with 1 rax fe and go into either 3 rax or 1-1-1 follow up. When i scout mech and i'm not going pre-determined banshee's, should i just switch starport over to a tech lab and make 1-2 banshee's and then switch to only vikings?
Or do i need things like medivacs and what not first.
I've seen a couple of people do it in the past and it looked really effective to slow the player down. I just can't mimic what i've seen with it and was wondering what a efficient build follow up for this kind of strategy that i could use.

I want to practice them until I'm blue in the face -- I fall off a lot doing random things so it would be greatly helpful... I float too many resources and have too few units, so having something to stick to will be greatly helpful!

Hi, after this 2 and a half years i just switched from random to Terran, just to claim infestor nerf ().
I really hate this banshee/hellion style that has been used lately in TvZ. I just love to play bio. For now i have been doing a 1rax FE into a combat shield timing at zergs third, then a medivac/stim timing and finally a 2-2 timing. I've found some bio guides here and followed those, but seem a bit outdated. Is there still any possiblity to play bio in TvZ? And if it is, can you link me some guide/replays/streams/whatever? thx a lot
I also need some advice with my TvT. I also go for a fast upgrades/bio style. Since now, i was playing it by feel because of being random and seeing a lot of different stuff coming from my opponent but now i think i really need something more planned. What can you recommend me?
I'm low masters btw, i have nice mechanics/multitasking imo (it's my terrible terrible gamesense/scouting what kills me) so i don't mind if you link me strategies that require high amp, I'm aware of what play bio means! :D
