I dont really know why you would want to get battle cruisers in tvt. Vikings hard counter them. If you see them massing battle cruisers, go vikings, with a little micro, you can never loose. Also un upgraded battlecruisers are just bad. Really expensive, take forever to build.
If you let him get maxed out on battlecruisers without enough vikings, you are screwed, but that should never happen.

I know polt likes cc first !

I think that the reactor hellion opening is great whatever you want to do afterwards. The zerg is cannot know what you are doing behind the reactor hellion. Expanding behind it, then adding rax, getting stim and teching to medivacs seems like a proper way to do things. I'm just a diamond player so I'm not saying this with the fullest of confidence, since I don't play that style.

Talking about my style, I have been doing reactor hellion into 3OC in TvZ forever now, and have had mixed results. I have been sitting on one factory quite long. Today I added my second factory after I had 3 rax up. It felt so much easier playing. Banelings were annihilated, infestor play felt simple to deal with, and when the zerg went ultras it wasn't even close. Have I been doing it wrong all up until this point or? I have turtled until maxed then pushed and dropped while adding ghosts before, but with a way smaller tank count. Thoughts on this? Is more tanks better in TvZ?

for some reason or another if your opponent goes mass thor you can beat him with battlecruisers, but i guess you could just use marauders to beat the thors

Unupgraded BC's are bad. Upgraded BC's are incredibly powerful.
It's a very reasonable, somewhat map dependent transition. BC's are great at absorbing damage in viking wars and are very capable of ending games (something difficult to do in lategame TvT).

As I said I go reactor hellion into 3OC and turtle until I reach max. If nothing special has happened, I add ghost academy and a second starport + 2-3 extra cc's and then push out. If he suicides his army into mine I just push further forward, if he does not he is waiting for his hive tech. I start doing drops and adding ghosts as replacement. Oh and I tech cloak on the ghost academy.

TLDR: I max out at three bases.

You go BCs after already having an advantage, both in air and ground control, with excess minerals. Other terran has to spend minerals/gas on staying alive on the ground war, as you transition into hidden BCs and use them to break tank lines. They immediately have to throw up a SHIT ton of turrets, or start massing vikings.

BCs are just a great way to break a tank line if you have air control.

My TvT endgame is terrible, almost every time the game gets past the 15 ~ 20 minute mark I lose for sure. No matter what I try, my opponent masses either thors or battle cruisers and I end up losing. I usually go marines, marauders tanks, and medivacs, with a transition into banshees, vikings and marines, but I just can't seem to find a way to make that transition into endgame units like Thors or Battlecruisers... Suggestions?

The key for protoss to hold 2rax is chronoboosting core one more time instead of the nexus i heard. That make them get a round of warp in right when the 2rax come.

How do you guys manage Viking/Medivac numbers in TvP going for MMMV and TvT going MTV? I always tend to build only medivacs, then only vikings which is obviously bad. Should I build one of each out of a single reactored star port or maybe have one reactored for medi's and one techlabbed so I can get a raven, then get Vikings, one at a time?

You should find a way to end the game sooner. If they mass those units, there is a large window of time in which they are teching up to mass thors or battle cruisers. if you attack during that window, then you will almost definitely win. However, if you like MMM with tanks, you should just go crazy with drops if you dont want to attack. Either way if they mass thors or battlecruisers then you are being too passive, which you should never be if you play MMM.

2 starports if you don't have any medivacs and you've scouted that the protoss is going for colossus.
I like the part where sense is considered a common, settled thing.

it depends if they scout your starport or gas, as scouted early could also mean they scout you around 8 supply. If they see your starport or gas then your marine or other army should have stopped them from getting in. If they scan you should hide your starport somewhere if you really dont want to be scouted. However, it is still viable as long as they dont build a bazillion missile turrets.

If they build a bazillion missile turrets, that's fine even if you did go for cloak banshee-- that's damage done, right there. Cancelling the Cloak part of cloak banshee (after the scan ends) might be worthwhile though.

Hello, I'm here again with the same problem, low masters Terran here. Can someone help me against these big marine-tank allins in tvt? I open the ThorZain build and lose 100% of the time to these builds, not sure how to stop them. I've tried pulling a ton of scvs before they get to my base but the splash damage seems to kill everything. Is it possible to defend against them?

This is how my usual build fares against some kind of 1/1/1 allin. I'm not sure what I should've done, but I think I should've made bunkers and waited for +1..? But sometimes the timing hits after +1, before stim, and I still lose, with scvs. If I catch him unsieged he just runs all the way back home, coming with a bigger push. The ThorZain build goes straight up to medivacs, so should I go straight into siege tank if I scout this allin?
