Probe scout timing, it goes into your main to scout, and you only see one probe. Otherwise they will send a drone or three down to block just in case.

Perhaps this isn't the best map for hellions, but usually I try and poke into the natural and it isn't a complete disaster, so should my hellions be aggressive or should I just hover around creep and try and deny it/delay a third from being taken? Thanks. (I watched a load of recent VODs on EL map but I didn't see anyone open similarly to me without going hellbat/banshee, which isn't very relevant to what I'm doing)

I was playing expedition lost the other day and I ran my hellions and reaper up the zerg's ramp (blind) and into a bunch of lings/queens, lost them all and he bust me for the win. Thanks. (I watched a load of recent VODs on EL map but I didn't see anyone open similarly to me without going hellbat/banshee, which isn't very relevant to what I'm doing) They are on the edge of the creep to: - To deny creep when possible, just because of their presence the Zerg can't hit the exact edge, needs some buffer space so the queens can cover the tumor and you can dart in every once in a while to kill morphing tumors. - If you kept your reapers alive, you can attack queens letting the reaper take damage, then pull back and let your reapers heal up, this will force units out of the zerg. If the zerg doesn't make roaches you can be very cost effective with this if you micro well. - Threaten or do a runby into the natural, it's risky, as like you said, the zerg can sometimes straight up win the game if you lose them, but sometimes zergs are completely defenseless (especially if they go for a quick lair build) - Enable you to move your third cc to your third base earlier. Innovation moves his third cc out at around 8:00 sometimes, because he knows the hellions will keep him safe vs lings.

I am looking for a twitch stream with GM/Master protoss, who streams a lot, and has past broadcasts on for free. I watch a fair bit of Puck and Mana, as they both explain at least part of what they do. But none of them have pasts broadcasts for free. I'd like something along those lines.

I'm a new SC2 player and I have difficulty with keeping the unit groups (1-9) updated. I don't have trouble deciding what unit goes to which group, what I do have trouble is that once I have groups, no matter how many times I add the last created units to it, there's ALWAYS units left out and I end up selecting the whole army and A-clicking So basically... what's your trick?

Ctrl 1 creates a new control group, but Shift one adds to a current group. So Shift + 1 puts the selected units in controlgroup one. If you put your rally points at a specific location and make sure to ALWAYS assign units from the rally to a hotkey, you will never lose them ever again !

I thought people would have a trick for this, but as you're telling me the only thing I'm doing wrong is not adding those new units with enough frequency! I guess there's no way around Thanks again for the help.

Yeah it's an habit after a while you ctrl+hotkey your units without thinking. But there are small differences for each races : - as terran you waypoint your created units to a specific spot and come back to this post every now and then to add the new units to the group you want (if pssoible use a camera location key). - as Protoss you do this as the units are warped near you pylon (robo and stargate units are grouped with the "terran method" though) - as Zerg you group when units are still in the eggs (control click the eggs, shift click to add them in groups - look around for detailed guide about how to do this)

Also, on the computer I play most of the time, mouse acceleration is disabled through the Razer driver (I use a Deathadder). Should I disable it in the registry instead?

Missclicks happen too often, so I want to filter out unnecessary clicks so my gameplay becomes less chaotic. Also, on the computer I play most of the time, mouse acceleration is disabled through the Razer driver (I use a Deathadder). Should I disable it in the registry instead? Yo. If you haven't watched it before, day9's video on mouse control is stellar. I highly recommend that to anyone having mouse problems. Here ya go. As for the mouse acceleration...it really depends on how you feel. If turning off the acceleration through the register helps at all, then use it. I don't personally use a razor mouse so I wouldn't know anything about their drivers. Edit: And if you're having sensitivity issues, just try bumping it down little by little. Day9 goes over this in the video, as he talks about not having too high of a sensitivity.
