Are there anywhere collections of cheese build orders. I'm a zerg player and i've pretty strong macro (for diamond), but i don't know any or very few cheesy builds and i'd like to learn some. Is there any site/thread where i find for example the early 6/7/8/9/10 pool "builds" and their (dis)advantages to each other?

something that's really fun to do against terrans on ladder is 7pool + send timed drone to harass the SCV building barracks/block the second supply depot for long enough that the lings get in. it makes terrans really mad because they all seem to think they're not allowed to lose to early pools of course it won't beat really really strong players consistently, but it's something you could definitely do in diamond and win

they only get mad because terran cant cheese like this... any terran cheese seems to be held very easily imo

Anyway. Are there any blogs or something similiar about korean pro gamers practicing? Like what does a korean pro gamer week/day schedule look like? Do they only mass games on ladder/team mates or do they heavy replay analysis?

Khaldor used to have a video documentary on his you tube about how the pro team houses in Korea work. I cannot find it on his youtube channel, anyone know where to find it?

Why do I often get matched with guys WAY above my skill level? I am bronze, playing multiplayer since late January / early February. I am trying to learn, but I am tired of facing Gold-Diamond players who often finish with nasty comments (one stated that his friend has been playing for two weeks and is far better than me). A few have been cool in second matches once they know I am bronze (for example creaming me and giving me the win). But many are rude.

My question, as a bronze, why am I playing Diamond players at all? Are there really only a few guys playing? I do play at odd times (2am weekdays, 9am Saturdays,...).

Hey everyone I have a question. According to TL's liquipedia on Attack Target Priority found here:Attack Priority It says that overlords have the same priority as attacking units. My question is if I am using an army to engage a stalker or marine composition. If order my speed Overlords to fly directly in the middle of their comp, will they tank all of the damage and leave my army to kill his unless he focus fires? Even better is while the overlords are over his army you have them generate creep? Will this work or is the liquipedia wrong?

How many games have you played? If you have not played many games then possibly your MMR has not balanced out yet, meaning it will put you up against wierd people.

Or you are playing when not many other people in your MMR zone are playing.

To my knowledge (someone please correct me if wrong) they have the same attack target priority, however because the ground units are attacking the other units they will gain priority. Their priority means units will kill them before buildings/drones as far as I know.

It will work to a degree, the units who are not in range of your units will attack the overlords. I have seen pro games ZvT where the attack moved terran ball gets messed up because thors are shooting overlords while other units are wandering off.

i'm not the kind of guy who remembers specific games very well but i'm certain just from what i've recently watched in top level korean play (as well as lower level pro play) that it's a perfectly viable strategy with a perfectly decent + balanced success rate. and like most cheeses i feel it's even better on ladder against people who aren't seasoned pros with hours of practice defending it. here is the last one i remember seeing, which is even more interesting as it's on a 4 player map in proleague (maru over effort)

you can pick apart effort's mistakes defending it and say that maru is better than effort, but it's still a tough hold with a very small window for zerg to execute and usually takes experience + good crisis management

not sure what you count as cheese, but 2-3 factory hellion all ins can be really strong too on ladder if zerg doesn't scout it in time (stronger than 7pool for sure)

Maru did it twice against Hydra in his round of 32 in the GSL.

Why I play worse when I play laddergames as when I just play unranked? Im not getting nervous or something but I think I kinda getting a mental block or something. I want things to badly to happen.
If I play unranked I can play exact the same bo´s but i execute them better and smoother. e.g. I focus sentrys and other individual units and when I play ranked, after 3-5 games I barely a-click and lose the overview of things. Apm is till the same btw... So I kinda get deadlocked or something.

summary: If I play unranked I seem to play better then ranked, especially if I do a lot of games in a row. How can I overcome that?

This is neither a simple question nor does it have a simple answer. But from your post it feels like you put to much weight on the ranking. Try not caring so much and play only ranked. Play unranked if you want to off-race but never on your main. Also, thinking that you perform badly can basically be the reason you perform badly.

Sounds like you have created a mental block even subconsciously. Because ladder points/position/league are important to you you put pressure on yourself.

I would suggest trying a couple of things:

Firstly, only play ranked, never click the unranked button. If you want to good off, jump on a different server and play around for fun on ranked there.

Second, stop focusing on winning and start focussing on something in your play that you really need to work on. For example, find an area in your macro that you suck at (injects/supply blocks/unit production/worker production etc) and base your winning of that. Set a goal for yourself and make it something you can hold yourself to (I will not get supply blocked more then once/I will not have more then 50 energy). After EVERY match watch the replay and check whether you failed or succeeded. By doing this all of a sudden whether you win or lose becomes irrelevant, sometimes your 'wins' will actually be losses because you didn't meet your goal. Constantly expand your goals as you start nailing them.

Thirdly, if you feel pressured do something stupidly goofy. Do a planetary fortress rush, do a spinecrawler rush, Naniwa special probe all-in (to early? ), crazy mass baneling all in. Enjoy losing by doing stupid strats. All of a sudden you won't care as much about the fact that you lose. Now go and play some normal games, as soon as you start feeling pressured the next game do something stupid again. If you lack creativity look up Daynine's Funday monday shows and find some stuff to do!

Hope this helps.

Theoretical (at least for me) question from a mapmaker, looking for input from players who have actual experience with this: Is it really a bad thing when the main mineral line or base can be sieged/nuked from the natural low ground? It seems to me this is only a problem for Zerg anyway, and when you get to a point where your opponent has tanks or nukes and you don't have a natural, the game's over for Zerg either way, right?
