After a long hiatus, I don't really feel like I know how to scout properly. I guess if there's no third expo before 8 mins vs T and P there's a 10 minute timing coming, right? and anything earlier would mean a delayed nat, right? I don't know how the meta is but I used to 14g14p against zerg, putting pressure. When HOTS came out I couldn't quite keep up against 2 base muta, so I went 15h for a while, but I think now that spores are buffed muta rushes are out, so I can go back to 14/14? I will 15h16p against terran with 4 queens and a third when the second set are done (around 36 ish), take all gas after that and continue (i.e. when a 13 scout rules out early gas for possible reapers). Still standard? Against P I'm toying with the idea of the speed expand, leaving one drone on gas for early burrow to deal with gateway all ins. Otherwise I think ppl stay on 2 base rather than the 70+ supply at 8 min old benchmark? Please let me know your thoughts on any of these questions. Stardroid | ||

I just checked this in matchmaking vs an AI opponent, it would seem an unpowered Cybercore still lets you warp in stalkers. So to answer your question: yes. Once you destroy the core, this is no longer the case, of course. If you have selected to warp in a stalker, and have the outline of the stalker, but haven't clicked to confirm warping in, and the cybercore is destroyed, the outline will disappear, and you can't warp in stalkers anymore. edit: ninja'd. | ||

I want to learn to use camera hotkeys and the minimap in general a lot more, so I am a lot more aware of he minimap and play a lot quicker. I feel like my 'slowness' en inaccuracy when clicking the minimap hold me back a bit. Any way to really practice this well? | ||

Play games against the AI, unranked, or if you don't care in ranked, with your mouse scroll set to 0. Use ctrl+f (or whatever your hotkey is for centering the camera on your selection) to get to your army. Not really any solution for not using the mini-map instead, but it will at least help eliminate scrolling which is the more detrimental habit. | ||
