Is there a fast way to pick up marines with medivacs? If i have a medium sized army and quickly need to pick up my army, I select my entire army with marines and medivacs. Then, I right click my medivacs one by one.
However, almost all the time, I also accidently right click marines and medivacs. What results is the pick up isn't fast and sometimes some marines don't even get picked up.
Is there some secret way to quickly pick up marines?
No, that is the way to do it. You just have to learn to be more accurate with your mouse.

Best areas to scan a Zerg opponent when playing as Terran? Best way to scout a Zerg in general? Early, mid, and late game? I feel like whenever I scan a Zerg for information I always see nothing and it's a huge waste. Doing the normal scan of betweenish the main and natural seems to not work in the same way as when scanning a T or P.

when terran SCV pulls vs protoss, why doesn't protoss immediately pull probes as well?
|
As a silver player wanting to improve would this guide still apply?
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=343501
its quite old but I see it got bumped, however even still im wondering if it would be a good "stepping stone" if you will to practice on, as the idea of trying to learn 3 different builds if I still cant macro properly as I should seems illogical.
just curious.

Just wondering if the approach of focusing on one thing at a time is good. Basically his Bronze and silver are focus macro alone -> then when that is perfect move to whats next etc. Just wonder if thats still an effective approach.

All terran units are ranged, the scvs become an obstacle that the zealots need to get past in order to get to the army. If you add probes into that mix it would only worsen the situation for the protoss.

Its also the combination of protoss units early on does less damage but have more health in return. Meaning probes melt instantly to stimmed bio, while scvs take longer to kill, giving the high damage units of terran extra time alive to murder stuff.
That said, sometimes you have to pull probes, for example if terran pulls everything and you just need to survive to win. But for the most part they dont do enough to be worth it.

I want to get back into SC2, but before I buy HotS I want to choose my race. Again! It might not belong to simple q/a thread, but I hope it's fine.
I either want drop-focused play (which goes directly to Terran) or something allin-ish. I like to finish games in midgame, because I suck at lategame :D I hate PvP so unless there's something good to do in that matchup I'm crossing P out atm. As Z I used to play MutaLing in ZvP, economic bust vsT (or w/e it was called) and some early pools in ZvZ.
Basically I want something quick/fun/non-turtlish.
Was plat T/gold Z in WoL.
Question is: am I going to play T?

When does the current season end? (the one that started today)
|
The season locks on the 27th of December and ends on the 3rd of January.
|
Can you get promoted simply by hitting a certain point total at the end of a season anymore despite your mmr? I believe this was possible at one point in time, but I may be wrong.
|
No, that has never been possible. Promotions and demotions have always been about your MMR, not your points. What you're referring to is when Blizzard used to release a chart with the number of points you needed to reach to most likely get promoted next season, based on how points relate to your MMR. But at the end, it was your MMR causing the promotion, not your points.

I think you should try protoss, PvP is much much better than it was in WoL, give it a chance There are a LOT of very fun all ins with protoss. I switched from terran recently, because I don't want to grind the same build over and over... the exception is TvT, which is awesome and has variety, but TvP is super boring (from the terrans's side :D) and ZvT bio mine is although basically just one build, it's still entertaining to watch at the highest level, but too much for me mechanically. With protoss I already know 4-5 all ins each match up :D really fun way to ladder and it does improve my mechanics and especially my decision making.
maybe things will change after the patch though...

I watched Liquid Rets stream a bit and noticed that he is always blue and his opponent orange. I want that, too. I suspect it has something to do with teamcolours? I tried to google and ended up with loads of not so smart people asking why they're always green. Or maybe I am the retard and there is an option to change teamcolours somewhere? Only useful thing was changing gamefiles. Then again Ret wouldn't do that because he couldn't use that in a tournament, right?
Input appreciated.
nvm, it's colour blind mode
|
Ret uses color blind mode, which changes your color to blue, your opponents to orange and changes some colors in the build grid. It's the only way to change the predetermined colors. You can find that option under Options --> Gameplay --> Enable Color Blind Mode. It's the last option in the User Interface column, to the left.

How the hell am I suppossed to beat mutas?
Okay so I scout spire while building... Already have stargate and a single phoenix... I have 3 bases vs 3 bases... I make another stargate... and what hits me? 20 mutas and 10 corruptors... Absolutely unbeatable????
If you say archons I will lose my shit.... You will never get anywhere near them... You will never be able to deal with constant harrass. Only phoenix comes close and when they have corrupters they just disappear in seconds. If you don't engage: bye bye probes, and tech and expos and everything.

Does anyone else accidentally hit the space bar key? My space bar key is set to the default go to last location or whatever it's called. So sometimes I will try to build a barracks and go b,b but my 2nd b would hit the spacebar at the same time so my screen flies half way across the map. I'm thinking of disabling it.

Never happens to me, but just unbind it completely. Maybe eventually you can rebind it with something you'll find useful. (mine is set to "base location" but since i'm currently learning camera location it's becoming less and less useful.
