Theres no faster way to cast it. You must hit hallucinate every time you cast. It's the same with every spell, I believe. So in your example, the fastest way to hallucinate Immortals would be to cast it as you do now: hallucinate, immortal; five times. Optimizing your hotkeys may help, as you only need your keyboard hand to hallucinate with no interaction of the mouse. You can hallucinate very quickly and efficiently regardless.

I don't think he lists them anywhere specific every week. Check the beginning/ending of his dailies. He's usually dutiful to mention the Funday Monday criteria at the start of any and all dailies if there is a Funday Monday.

About that 2-basetiming sentry-immortal heavy(parting style)
I'd say its better to have Ling-roach Festor arm than teching to hydralisk!
Because if you barely handle his push he will try to have a collo out or maybe teching to HT's behind a 3rd...
So with Hydra it's always geegeee

I tried to find this on the web and threads but i can't, When someone has like plus 1 weapons what exactly is the increase that he has, like how much extra damage does one unit deal.

If you go to the unit's page on Liquipedia, in the infobox on the right there is a value for Ground Attack or Air Attack. The little number next to it (+x) is the amount of extra damage a unit does per attack upgrade, and both these values are per swing. As an example, a Stalker has Ground Attack 10 (+1), 10 damage per swing with 1 extra per attack upgrade. You can see the armour upgrade benefit in the same way.

Nope. Sorry, but it won't work against a proper sentry/immortal timing. It's a timing; therefore, it hits before you can get infestor/muta tech out.
You'll be dead before infestors pop. Granted, they're the way to deal with delayed sentry/immo, the only lair tech in time for the standard 9:00 moveout timing is hydras. They finish at 10:00, right before he gets to your base.
Hydras we're recently discussed in my guide on defending it, I'll experiment more and add it to the OP of that thread. Basically, if you're going for standard roach/ling/infestor aggressive midgame, you want to get a hydra den + infestor pit when lair is done. Don't get hydra den if you suspect macro or any other 2 base play. I'm on my phone now, I'll write more later.
Just for curiosity's sake, what skill level are you? I've noticed that at lower levels protoss macro is so bad they're up to a minute late.

what is the normal person way to select a builder? I watch streams and people seem to cam over to the minerals and select one but that is extra work compared to having one a control group.
why would people do that, I put one in a control group in my first day playing and thought it would be normal.
I play toss if that matters.

Control groups are perfectly fine; it's a habit I once got into as well. Problem is, it's pretty easy early on in the game when all you're focused on is executing your build to keep track of the worker in the hotkey. Issue arises when you accidentally transfer that worker to another base, or it dies, and you have to re-bind another one or find out the hard way trying to unsupply block mid-battle where you don't have the luxury of time.
It's slightly more inefficient to just grab a worker instead of a hotkey, but it's more flexible -- and ultimately, preference. Most important thing between either is having really good base camera keys and knowing them well.
For the record, I used to have three workers hotkeyed for each base, and it was extremely quick. I had three camera hotkeys: F5, F6, and F7, with three workers hotkeyed: 8, 9, and 0. It's very easy to "feel" your way to F5 with most keyboards having a gap between F4 and F5. From there it's natural to hit F5 with your ring, and your pointer on 8 afterwards. Aside from the problems mentioned above, I needed more hotkeys and can't spare them anymore.

If I lose the placement game at the start of a season will I be dropped down a league? That's what my friend told me but I have trouble believing it because it seems like it would be a little stupid (because you could get unlucky and get paired up with a smurf)... An answer would be much appreciated!

It generally counts like a normal game, and there is no automatic promotion/demotion. Do keep in mind that because the leagues are still somewhat new, if (say) you're platinum and you were just hovering slightly below the line to gold (but not enough for a normal demotion), a new season might place you in gold. Same if you were platinum, just over the line to diamond but not enough for a normal promotion.

In TvT, when going Marine Tank, what is the optimal number of Medivacs during the mid game?

Hi TL. I seen some players put facs, starports, and barracks on 1 hotkey and use that to macro, but when I do this I'm only able to build out of the first building I teamed (instead of out of all 3). Am I doing this wrong or is it not possible?

You have to use the tab key to switch through your barracks, factories and starports.

At least as much as your opponent. The medivac count can make a huge difference, but you also need to match his tank and marine count. So you have to be on pair or ahead in the numbers he has in marines, tanks and medivacs and of corse the upgrades, unless you will trade very cost inefficient. From my experience between 6-8 medivacs is a good number to stop producing them.

I have never been able to consistently inject during battles. I try to put 100% focus on doing it "next game", but I always end up over-microing the army and missing injects. I have been playing since release, and this is something that I just can't find a way to fix. I've tried against practice partners, against the AI, everything I can think of. I just naturally always end up forgetting to inject during prolonged battles. I am at my rope's end. I've known this is a problem with my play for years, but I just can't fix it. My instinct and muscle memory just completely take over, and I always "forget" to inject during battles or harass. I put "forget" in quotes because what really happens is I keep thinking "one more second and I'll do it"... but if the battle continues, that "second" stretches out forever.
I've also tried the periodic "retreat and macro", but I honestly never end up doing it. No matter how much I promise myself I will, I just lose concentration in battles and never do it. I don't forget to make units, because I can do that without leaving view of my army. It's just inject/tech/etc. I feel like giving up the game because I've tried for years, and have never gotten comfortable leaving view of my army in a fight. I know it's the main reason I've been stuck in diamond for almost two years.
Has anyone had this problem and overcome it? I don't know what else to try.

What is the counter to multiple drops by terran?
|
On October 29 2012 15:19 XtremePhysX wrote: What is the counter to multiple drops by terran?
Zerg and Terran should send part of you army to deal with each drop, never send your whole army unless it's a doom drop. Protoss is the same but you also have warp-ins to help deal with it
The real answer is to have map vision and know what your opponent is doing/ timings to look out for. Zerg needs to spread overlords, terran scans and Protoss have obs/ haul to scout.

I used to have the same issue. I tried the backspace inject method but didn't like it since I like to check upgrades and saturation at the same time as injecting. I got to the stage where I decided that macro was more important then micro so I'd start a battle with say Roach + Hydra, move them in close and then macro (inject make units do upgrades) then go back, once you get used to not watching battles your macro gets much better.
Just keep an eye on the minimap to make sure nothing surprises you like a flank or the oponent retreating into a tank line etc
