-top masters - rank 1-8
-mid masters - rank 8-25
-low masters - rank 25-100
Since mid and low terms are so often used i just want to see what these actually refer to...

Nope, a rank 1 master can be rank 25 in another division. Rank does not display your skill level. A high rank basically meens two things, you are good, or you did not quality into a master league withing the first days of the new season(thats when the master divisions are filling). The thing that displays you skill level is your points - the current bonuspool base or your points + your saved up bonus pool. top/mid/low master is not set, people use it differently. i would say low is below 75% of active master player mid is below 90% high is below 98% av top is above that.

Mass roach is normally the zergs responce to mech because there is nothing that deals really effectively with roaches on the mech side.

I agree with most if not all what you said. Allthough the positionning on the tank is important, the original post i was referring to wanted other ways of dealing with mass roach as of units composition. If you somehow spread your tank and have some kind of buffer ( i still think unupgraded marauders will do better than BF hellions but both are viable it will work.
The idea behind the banshee was to force the zerg out of massing roaches blindly, forcing him to get hydras or something a little bit squishy that mech deal with better (hydras / mutas are well handeled by tank thors) and the said banshees(2-3) can be used to harass and snipe queens, creep tumor to slow down reinforcements, pick them off and so on...

Oh yeah, of course if you're going Bio-Mech or Bio you want lots of Marauders. However when going Mech, you want to use the gas for more Siege Tanks and Thors rather than Marauders which are almost useless past the early game without upgrades when compared to Hellions, which was what I was thinking about without saying so. Silly me forgetting that there's such thing as Bio. ><

As for Banshees, they do everything you said, but when the Zerg attacks straight-on, the Roaches can simply ignore the Banshees if you don't have enough Siege Tanks and units to buffer for them and you lose a ton of SCV's and buildings as well as your ground army, similarly to how they can ignore Voidrays in PvZ.
Oh, and one time the Zerg got 5-6 Corruptors and parked them over his Roaches. Sucked for me since I was constantly building Banshees.

Edit: Also PDD doesn't affect Roach shots.

If you insist on using "high", "mid" or "low" to describe your rank, I really think you should be using skeldark's MRR Calculator plugin. Rank within a division is completely meaningless, and people will play like one master player and decide they're high diamond now, when there's no way to know whether the opponent had maybe lost 15 of their last 20 games and had a mid-diamond MMR as a result.

Frankly, though, I'm not sure what the value of making up subleagues within the leagues is, except for Masters. I think people just like to be able to say that they're "high platinum" because they think other posters will respect them more that way than if they're just normal platinum.

Edit: Sorry, my rant doesn't directly apply to the question, since you were asking specifically about master league. The friendly version of the answer is: Use the MMR Calculator, divide the MMR range of Masters into three parts. Those three parts are high, mid and low. Any other method is going to be fallible to a certain extent, since your MMR can vary wildly from your actual league placement if you go on a winning/losing streak.

A while ago there was this thread where someone created a program that displayed a number of builds to pick from and would display the build order in game as you play. I can't find that thread anymore and I tried searching numerous keywords. Does anyone know the link to it?

ok little question here. I'm a diamond terran and i recently bombed my mmr down to bronze, to get motivated to play more (yeah, i know)
So my question is, how much game does it take to get your mmr back on track ? I'm curently 50-2, and still matched against low-mid-top bronze. I was fun first, but it's kinda backfiring at me ^^

For some reason when im playing and i do shift type commands, to shift queue a building say. My keyboard will freak out after i let go and thinks im still holding down shift, i was pinging when i clicked the map to quick select a part of it, and i know its not sticky keys because it wont let me even click on my map, alt tab it was thinking i was holding down the ping key for some reason i couldnt a attack hotkey a building nothing. I had to unplug and re plug in my keyboard like 4 times in the middle of a game and then scv all in somebody using a attack in the interface before it stopped and would let me alt tab.

Its extremely irritating because it happens only when i 1v1 on random occasions, twice a month etc

just hold alt and press tab like 5 or so times and it fixes it lol

Are there any hotkey tricks involved in using medivacs? Here are two specific questions.
1. People often say "queue medivac drops". What do they mean and how do you do it?
2. Is there a quick way to load some medivacs with units, then get the medivacs with units off your main army hotkey and then onto their own hotkey?

1. While holding shift, give the Medivac the move command to where it should drop, then give it the drop command. If a match 15hatch/15pool ZvZ you want to do, when you have to scout to see if a push comes to you early?
If your opponent makes a pool early, as you have to react, canceling the 15hatch/15pool? Defending with drones?
