By reset mean doing something that "-r" does in YABOT maps.
I want to be able to do it in ladder maps (single player).
In single player games vs AI (through the single player button, not multiplayer create a game of you vs ai) you can save the game at any point and reload back to that point.
What is the most efficient BO in TvT nowadays ? By efficient, I would say the most "flexible" build. Also, is there any "secret" about the number of barracks/factory/starport you must have by base ?
Hey guys, I'm in big need of some advice, preferably from an allready existing guide.
I'm a EU Masters Protoss that was lurking in the middle of my league before we switched over to 2012 but since then things have changed. I've had a lot more to do in school, in my personal life and gotten one of those girl friends that really restricts the time I can devote to SC2. Therefor when I play nowadays I'm always exhausted and I littarly can't play at a level I feel comfortable with. I really need some help of how to deal with my fatigue to keep progressing.
So yeah basicly what I'm looking for is either a guide or some personal advice from people who have a similar life style as I do and can only play about 3-4 nights per week and maybe 2-3 hours at a time.

A gasless expand is pretty flexible, it just is hard to defend against cheese. However, if you don't get taken out in the early game, you can transition into mech, or bio.
A 1-1-1 is also pretty flexible, as is a Reactor Hellion Expand vs. Zerg.
Hi: how can you transform 8 gateways into 8 warpgates at once? I saw liquid.hero once do it. They just all morphed at the same time. About my tries+ Show Spoiler +
@Tekakan not a simple question - simple answer^^ Mb: fast music or energydrinks (long before you sleep ofc...) if you liked broodwar, broodwar music also is very motivating from time to time. motivation is all.
How exactly do people shift blink? Simply holding shift while issuing movement commands and blink will cause all my stalkers to walk as a group to an area and then blink as a group. However, people are able to make stalkers walk as a group and then blink 1 by 1 or in small groups as they get in range and then move away to allow more stalkers to blink up. What exactly are the commands required to do this?

I'm certain some Protoss will come and tell me I'm wrong, but I'd assume it's the same way Zerg players morph 50 Roaches at the same time, which is to say simply hold the hotkey down.

not very simple questin. However my simple answer: move shiftdown teleport move shiftup

Hehe I agree but I posted it in here to see if there is an existing guide for people that have a busy scheduele with limited amount of time to dedicate to SC2. I really need help since I know that I'm not gonna get more free time to devote to SC2 in the near future (4-5 months) so if I want to keep playing I kind of need help dealing with the issues I have.
Music never did it for me, I always played slightly worse with music. I never drink energydrinks and I'm not gonna start now tbh. But thanks anyway. I need all tips I can get.

I don't play protoss so I'm not positive, but I'm pretty you just need to queue a move command after the blink. so shift-right click to ledge-blink across-right click forward from the ledge you're blinking to. I believe this ensures that the front stalkers that blink will move and give space to the ones behind it to blink as well

Explain?
Are you asking if they are the new "four-gate?" Are you asking if the 5-7 gate timings are better than the 4 gate?
well from my own (limited) experience, but mainly from what i see in tournaments, it seems like those strategies are kind of a 2-base "4-gate", simply with more tech and/or (obviously) more gates, depending on which build you do. but from how it is played and how you have to defend it, it reminds me alot of the 4 gate how it was several months ago, exept that it looks much much stronger.
i dont know if i should have opend a seperate thread about this, but i felt like it would end in a huge balance/flame-war. so i thought i'd just ask here
The main strength lies in the time given for sentries to build up energy for forcefields/guardian shield. No shit you hit with more units but it's just as all-in as a 4gate because you have absolutely zero tech.
4gate generally won't have that many sentries because they won't have time to build energy and thus aren't a good investment towards a 1base all in. Also sentries in low numbers really suck vs marine marauder. A 4gate will be zealot-stalker heavy and usually relies on poor bunker placement, or something about the natural they can abuse to get around bunkers. Zealot-Stalker has a really tough time breaking bunkers when scv's can repair.
6-8gate all-ins has sentries, usually with tons of energy. +2 armor from guardian shield is the difference between marines killing a zealot in 30hits, or killing a zealot in 50hits. It's a massive difference. Forcefields also prevent repair and is just really good in general.
When I 1gateFE and defend reactor-techlab, I usually leave my units at the top of my ramp so they don't get caught off guard by anything. I recently lost to a terran who preemptively placed a bunker in range of my nexus (but I couldn't see it because my nexus wasn't finished) and by the time I could see it he was at my base and it was too late.
What should I leave at the bottom of my ramp? I've thought of making the 4th pylon there but it seems too risky to get it sniped/supplyblocked when you desperately need to warp units in asap. I also don't like the idea of leaving units there since if they pull scvs you'll want to hold your units back a few seconds and pull some probes with you.

I always leave my units near my natural. Work on your minimap awareness, and gain map control by moving around with 1 or 2 stalkers to check watch towers and his ramp. If he has his entire army sharking around the map, you can poke around his expo. A Terran shouldn't be able to snipe your pylon if you have good reaction time unless its already past the early game stages.Always hotkey your army so you can snap to it immediately once you see enemy forces near your ramp (minimap awareness..). If he brings SCVs, idk leave your zealots in the front, FF his bio and warp-in more stalkers on the high ground.

I'm specifically talking about the timing of a reactor-techlab and I'm using kcdc's 1gateFE which only gets one stalker till warpgates are done and it has to sit at home to deal with reapers.
If he pushes with his first marauder w/o scvs I usually let my nexus tank a little (as a lot of 1gateFE variants do in certain cases), if I made a pylon at the bottom it would easily get sniped.
My mechanics are fine, I notice stuff in time I just need something at the bottom of my ramp to actually see it.
I guess it's like a zerg leaving an overlord over their expo early in the game or patrolling a drone to spot bunkers/cannons.
Is there any way to take a random group of units out of a control group? For example, say you have a bunch of lings in a ctrl-grp, and you select a handful of them, is there a key combo that can remove that random group from the ctrl-grp?
This would be similar to ctrl-shift click a unit in the protrait to remove it's kind from the group.

Give the stalkers a move command then hold shift and tell the stalkers where to blink and then still holding shift give the stalkers another move command.

Afaik there's no hotkey to do that. The easiest way to remove them is to just move those bunch of lings you want to deselect from the group away from the main ctrl group so that way you can just box whatever units are left and re-hotkey them or to clone the lings out with shift or ctrl shift clicking.

i dont think so. you just need to rebind the control goup without the units you don't want. you would have to select the control group, shift+click each unit individually (from the unit tab is easier) and then redo the control group.

i think the best plan would be to try to keep track of what units leave his base, and where his scouting scv is. if you lose his scouting scv, or feel that a bunker rush could be coming, just send a probe around your nexus around 50%-75% completion or so, or you could leave it on patrol. its not perfect, but its better to lose mining time from one probe than to lose to a bunker rush in ur nat.
Hey, i am wondering how you alter hotkeys to make it so it auto binds building to hotkeys, similar to warpgate on W. i want to make it so that any baracks is set to 4, but i want to keep the rest of my hotkeys (not download whole other hotkey set) having trouble doing this.
