1) What is the best followup if i get 7rr and he takes an expansion right as he moves out. I would just guess continue as normal and expand. 2) If I do the huk 20 nexus build and see a marine-scv allin heading toward my base, my response would be to cancel nexus and walloff the top of my ramp with pylons to kill marines with my stalkers while they are breaking down my pylon wall. Is this the best response? 3) If Zerg takes a quick third base and saturates it off my 1 gate expand, and I push at 9:30, will that be early enough to punish him for taking it? How long do I have to punish a zerg for taking such a quick third base before the third base starts to really benefit him? 4) Vs Terran, if I reach his base and he has walled off, is there any reason i shouldn't ever do the one gate expand? It seems like I have to just in case of 111. 5) Is there any way to tell if Terran is going 2 port banshee instead of 111 if my obs comes out as soon as a banshee enters my base (and so I keep it there in case of cloak) 6) Against a hatch first build, what is a reasonable time to expect ling speed? I usually open stalker after zealot to force lings/spines. How annoying is it for zergs to be forced to make a spine/lings rather than drones in the early game. How big a difference is that really? thx again for anyone who takes the time to answer my questions

I usually open stalker after zealot to force lings/spines. How annoying is it for zergs to be forced to make a spine/lings rather than drones in the early game. How big a difference is that really? thx again for anyone who takes the time to answer my questions I'll try to answer some of these 1) It depends on your opening. Assuming you hold it off, you will be ahead. Playing standard will always work very well in this situation. You will have the advantage going into the late game. Personally, I like to get blink and push out with a gateway heavy force. This works well, because their tech will be delayed due to them having less drones early on. 2) Kite marines and scvs with stalkers while they maynard to your base. Only cancel the nexus at the last moment. When they try to get up your ramp, FF the scvs and marines apart and kill with stalkers. Remember to target marines, and constantly kite the scvs. A pylon walloff is not a bad idea, but it is generally unneeded. 4) If he's walled, I personally prefer the 1 gate robo expand. This is good at defending such things as three rax and two rax aggression. 5) Count banshees. Check the front for tanks.

Depending on how saturated the minerals are, if there's been any pull-off for repairs or to escape harass etc. there could be a 100-200 mineral difference.

1) After defending 6 pool with FFE is it viable to go: gate-gas-cyber-gas-STARGATE and decimate zerg with voidray, while having 2 cannons in main mineral line? 2) how to place 4-5 cannons for defending 7rr, after FFE on maps with wide natural(metalopolis etc)? I lost to 7rr, because of fail cannon positions. He just snipped nexus and walked into main lol. Thank you!

There is no posable way they can get units to defend it in time

There is no posable way they can get units to defend it in time well, first of all, you have to expand - you need 3 gates after it to do it safely. and you have to rebuild your forge - so even in best case, you are less ahead then u think u are and u know how u do shit. the problem with stargate in that situation is, that he scouts it easily with remaining lings in your main. queens = you lost. So depending on how things go, you can eventually 4 gate with 2 gases or go for an expand with some units. you dont need to have 2 cannons to protect your mineralline - your zealot should come out soon enough to protect everything else with a bit of micro

Say you are a bronze and you are at the edge of a promotion in silver league. New season starts and you get your promotion after nice win streak. You continue to play good through out the season and yet again earn a promotion since you win against favored opponents and have win ratio more than 50 %.
