Hello people!
I'd like to ask for some advise regarding TvP and mass Void Rays.
I lost a number of times to this and i can not understand what i should do. The problem i see is this: I can mass marines and defend well, even expand sometimes but, as i understand this strategy is suposed to be "all in-ish" by the P. However, i end up with a lot of marines, and if i push him, it becomes a base race that is by far in favor of the P (terrible terrible damage done to buildings by VRs). So i can not find a way to punish this strategy (by killing him or denying an expansion).
Things i tried: -stay and protect with marines but end up killed by zelot+storm. -build turrets and go for the kill, but end up killed by VRs (Turrets die sooo fast to charged VR) -attack early but get blocked by cannons/sentry
My game is far from perfect so i do a lot of mistakes, but i would like some general advise please.
ps: i am in mid-platinum.

A ton of marines with Viking micro support. (Vikings outrange VRs and with micro you won't lose any.)
Just rush to Reactor Starport asap.

When P would switch to voidrays on 3 bases slowly, like adding stargates a bit and starting +1 airweapons when storm is upgrading there's nothing terran can do. Storm + voidrays is a combination that's impossible to stop.

Regardless, I'm confused, how does he have zealots templar w/ storm and mass void ray? If he has that then mass marine really isn't going to cut it. If all he has are zealots and templar i recommend helions with preigniter and ghosts to emp both the templar and the void rays.
also you can use vikings against void rays just keep them near missile turrets or they'll probably get owned. And if you are awesome - build 1 or 2 ravens, move them in point blank to the VR blob and use HSM.

I did not add a replay because i want to know the general idea/strategy and not what specific mistakes i've done. He has mass VRs and that keeps me in my base for a long time massing marines, during witch time he adds zelots and techs to HT (and expand since i can not go out of my base).
Fast tech to reactor Vikings seems good, i'l try that.

If you're going 1/1/1, leave behind a sizable viking force at home with just a few turrets and you should be ok.
If you're going 3rax, accept a base trade and beat him that way. Just because void rays kill your base quickly doesn't mean they'll win the base trade. If you lift all the structures you can and float them toward your army, you may be able to save a few unless the Protoss goes into hardcore chase down mode. Even so, Evacuate your SCVs to your army and start building a new base in the Protoss's natural expansion. Mass void ray means Protoss CANNOT have a large enough army to stop your 3rax units from slaughtering their base, and if you can even prevent the Protoss from evacuating workers then it's instant win right there. If you see proxy buildings or anything like that on the map don't go hunting for them, don't go hunting for the void rays. Just sit your units in your new base and defend it like crazy.

Also, you should attempt to win before he can critical mass VRs and contain him to a single or atleast his natural. I know this is easier said then done, but its doable. I think speed is probably your best route and if you can contain him you should win. Ive lost nearly every time once they get Storm, and I agree with DarkSanta that once they have it its pretty much an autolose.

It's the mobility+dmg vs structures of the VRs that give me problems. But reactor Viking might just do it.

Replay should be a must, like in the SCBW strat forum.

thing is that we can give general advice based on your replay. you think that the solution is to find some magical counter to mass voids when really the glaring problem in your gameplay could be horrible macro or bad scouting
follow the rules, they're there for a reason

Thanks for all the help! Vikings with micro allows me to put presure with the main marine army. ps: the thread can be closed (since there are no replays and i've got the answer)
