Hello! i am Knalle and here's my micro map.
About the map Currently map has 31 micro challenges. Going to add more when i have new ideas and get around making them.
I have balanced the challenges around my own micro level. Some challenges have a lot more polish than others. Most challenges have endless level and everything is not meant to be beatable.

How to play it? You can find the map on NA, EU, SEA and KR servers, by searching the map name in arcade Knalle Micro Map
Credits My clan GSCV for testing and ideas. Team Crux for Polar Night "Ling Bane" challenge is a modified version of a challenge in Blizzards Micro Masters map. Dargleins micro map for inspiration to do this. Khol for the art in loading screen and arcade icon. "Stutter" challenge idea is from Qxc's version. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would really appreciate a rating and review on arcade or post on this thread on how you liked the map. If you like to request some challenge that you would like to see in the map feel free to, tho i am not very skilled in the editor.
This is crazy how much this map has blown up. Thanks to everyone that has commented or posted on any site on this map really means a lot.

you should pm a mod directly if you want a thread title change ; just ask politely and precisely what you want and link to the thread, to find one check the tl irc or the automated ban list to find which is active when you ask (tl mods are very busy / helpful, but they most likely won't see your request otherwise)

Great map. In a sentry immortal challange you should add warp prism for more ways to micro.

I like the map but I have an improvement:
I think after each round you should add that the camera turns back into the center of the map that you don't have to do that much scrolling

@MorDka thanks for replying will be sure to add that! @Samtastic it's very much possible, but it might be harder in arcade since it seems to have more lag than ladder game. @TrumpetWilli i had that feature in but removed it because it got annoying after time while doing the map, ill make it a option.

Maybe something like custom hotkey sets tyhat it remembers? And a cost v cost indicator, like, was I cost effective or was I not??

it got annoying? i dont speak of the center of the while Map but for example in Marine Split when you run into a corner and then when the net round starts, Camera will focus back onto the Marines

@TrumpetWilli I know what you mean i had it that way but removed it when i was testing for some reason. Like i said ill add it as option.

I enjoy this game. It finally gives me a way to practice my micro against templar with storm.
The templar are somewhat stupid though. :/ They only send one storm at a time and they tend to not want to storm on top of themselves. For instance, if I get some stimmed marines close to the templar, even though the templar will 100% die no matter what happens, they won't storm my marines because they are too close to the templar.
Another thing that I would like, and this might go beyound the scope of your game, but it would be cool if while we were microing you gave us an optional base to macro. Like we could throw down depots, more barracks, make SCVs, make more units all the while doing the micro challenge. I think that it would make the game more useful, becuase rarely is it ever a good idea to just be microing at the expense of everything else. We often have to be macroing while attempting to be gosu with our units.
Anyhow, thank you for making it. Its pretty good.

@Gumdrop Thanks alot for the comment i really appreciate it keeps me motivated to keep making this and nice to get feedback.
I know some of the A.I are stupid i just made it use the Blizzard Elite A.I back when i made some of them haven't tried to update them since. I'll give it a shot trying to update A.I on some challenges especially Storm + Fungal. Now that i am a little bit more experienced with the editor hopefully i can make it work. And ill give the macro aspect a shot at some point, see what i can do, sounds like great idea if executed correctly.

Played this for a while today vs AI (the terran ones anyway), it will probably become my go-to micro map! The reaper vs protoss especially was really nice and the micro felt pretty realistic from the AI.
The storm/zealot one was cool as well but like the poster above me said it had some problems. I could just kite the zealots away, kill them and then split and rush up to the templars. Sometimes like half of the templars wouldn't even use their storms when there were 8+ of them. The fungal one seemed to have this as well though I didn't play it as much. I can imagine its very hard to make them realistic though.
Overall cool map!

Played today… seems like the option to show/hide the UI is broken, can't disable it anymore

Only problem is that "Stutter" doesn't work at all for me. Nothing appears on screen (I have no units that I can control)
It seems that Zerg doesn't have much micro, but I am sure you can make some easily :
- ling + bane + muta vs marine + widow mine. Learn to split - ling + muta + viper vs marine + tank. Learn to use the viper

@fezvez Thanks! at "Stutter" you need to select one of the neutral units that are up on the platform then it starts, i probably should have indicated that somewhere 
Yea i mostly play terran in 1v1 so i don't have much experience in other MU micro battles.

I would however say it is a good idea to give a clump of 10 mutas + 1 overseer with speed and kill a target SCV while surviving a minefield and possibly have the SCV make turrets so it becomes harder and harder.
I can also think of RoachHydra vs RoachHydra engagements, Queen vs Hellions possibly, Roaches vs Gateway units, Viper Corruptor Host vs Deathball, these are all pretty easy to implement I guess.

This might sound bashy BTW, but I found myself using this map for 20 minutes as a warmup instead of marine split challenge, just because it is fun :D:D
I found the stutterstep trainer pretty easy to use, maybe a small mentioning of to click the unit. There's however one flaw, Thor, for example, has such a long attack animation, you can impossibly keep up with the automatic Thor vs HT. Maybe make it so that both units have to stutterstep, but the southern (AI) lane does so perfectly, and the northern is player controlled.
Would also be good to allow the anti-worker training to select the unit you want to use

I enjoy playing this mod a lot! Any chance you will be adding the Deathball scenario from Dargleins Micro Trainer, where you have to engage the protoss deathball with your bioforce? Maybe even some Bioball+Ghosts vs. Gateway+Templar army where you have to scan ahead or send some scouting marines around your BioBall to spot incoming templars. Would be sick and useful

Cool map but is there an option to turn off the auto attack AI of the "hostile" player?
I've tried it with a friend and whoever controls Player 2 needs to fight the AI for control, because it auto fungals and auto storms. An option to turn this of would be nice, otherwise it's a great map.

very nice game but
it needs a co-op or a 1vs1 mode where players have a few lives per level vs AI, and player and obs switches every failed try, players get points
that would be epic

Would be cool if there was a version of storm dodge where you have marauders and medivacs. Maybe even zlots have charge. Usually you won't face storm with just rines.

btw: if you can get to 40 banelings on marine split i think you did a split as good as automaton :D

ultra marauder is a bit weird, adding 1 ultra extra per time you make it is not very rewarding maybe add a marauder or have more ultras but lover their hp, also it seems the ultras give a debuff, my marauders gets slowed when they are hit...
And on fungle doding the lings just sit in the corner whiile the infestors go to mid.

I'm not experiencing this slowing with Ultramarauder O_o And yes fungal dodging needs some polishing : P

Yeah, I figured that in many challenges that they get impossible after 4-5 rounds.
e.g.
Storm Dodging: Add one HT, then one Zealot, then one Zealot, then HT again and so on The Ultramarauder thing as well… i mean it's fun and things but as soon as it is 4 Marauders against 4 Ultralisks, it's impossible

the ultra rauder one is possible at 4, but there shoudl be banes/lings mixed in with that to make it realistic/harder. Also maybe infestors.

I feel like some marauders should be added in to the mix. I can't get past 9 templars because they literally have enough storms to storm each marine individually.

Great map - I found a bug in the Bio Tank challenge. If the map resets as Mutalisks are attacking your Medivacs then the glave can bounce and hit a tank after the reset.

I recently saw this on Iaguz's stream and I just wanted to say that it is hands down the best I have ever played on; keep up the good work!!

I've been playing your map for a while and I really enjoyed it.
But I'm quite disappointed by the lastest version for 2 reasons :
- in the blink stalker challenge, the IA makes enemy stalkers blink forward instead of backward, that's really strange
- I prefered the previous "focus fire" because you had more space (and marines). So you could chose to hit and run or to split against banelings AND speedlings.
Also it would be great to see challenges with bigger armies, like Bioball vs Mech or Protoss Deathball against Bioball + vinkings and ghosts (both ways) or stuff like that.
But I really like your map, I've been playing it at least twice a week for months. As a master league player I think it is really fun and made me improve. Thank you a lot for your work.

Are you still working on this Knalle? I would like to know because zerg lacks some challenges and I like this map very much and I'm sure many people would like it to be updated

@Desive Yes i just started recently to work on this again and there will be a lot of new stuff when its done like Challenge Creator which lets you create your own challenges in the map, but i wont promise anything because i have broken my promises about this map before.
If you have ideas for zerg challenges or other challenges, you can PM me with the details, army compositions, terrain, win/lose conditions and other stuff the challenge would need.
