I thought that this system could be like every unit having a shadow and you weren't allowed to stand on someone's shadow. With the blockers moving at extreme speed it would be like a shadow that always sticks to the body, but with speed only slightly higher than the unit's, the shadow would constantly have to catch up to its host and movement would be more unreliable. (which might be desired for units like zerglings perhaps, although maybe not for groups of hydras and marines?)

I'm asking because I am currently pitching Starbow to members of my clan, but since most of the people there have exclusive SC2 background and are only vaguely informed about what BW was and how it played so far I am getting very mixed reactions. I am sure someone somewhere has made a nice Starbow overview (especially concerning the actual changes and how they affect the game) but I just can't seem to find it anywhere. Cheers!

This is a bit difficult and time-consuming. I guess looking through the games from ESL cups and the Axiom tournament might be good. I wish Day9 did a Starbow daily and explained some stuff. I was thinking about doing something to this effect but my time in front of a computer with quite surroundings is limited. Decmberscalm did a "Terran Overview" but that's more for complete beginners. He wanted to do one for toss and zerg as well.

Love what you all are doing. This is probably the best game I've ever played. <3

For a while there was a huge hype on Blizz forums but now it has both died down (and been modded down ![]() Anyways, great work on Starbow. Initially I thought it was a fad, but the more I play it, it just gets better and better. The only bad thing I can say about it currently is that it makes it that much harder to go back to regular laddering. ![]()

I have noticed a bug with queens. Imagine a scenario where you have 3 hatchs and 3 queens. When I select all 3 queens and cicle through hatchs injecting on them, the expectation is that each queen will inject on the closest hatch. It is what happens on HOTS/WOL. But, on Starbow, (even when the queens [obviously] have energy,) they cross position every single time. Is this working as intended? Thanks.

Actually, as soon as I reach home (3 hour from now), I will create a dummy game and reproduce it, since I'm silver and can't post a replay with 20 apm on TL forums. It will bring the servers down.

A starbow version of Darglein's Micro Trainer would probably work.

He was going to work more on it once the game "settled down" a bit more. We are getting close to that and we have tried to get a hold of him, but he does not reply. He had some really good ideas (No Jim Raynor / Kerrigan love story...) I hope he responds soon ![]()

-> If the hatchery is under spell effect, and while next hatchery is a viable target, go to next hatchery. Since on original inject you cannot inject twice on the same hatchery, the queen wouldn't move to next hatch or, as you inject on it 0.5s later, it become a unviable target and the queen stop moving. The fact that others members of the selected group checks if current target is already a current target for other group member, helps to mess things up too. In Starbow case, you can inject twice on same hatchery to refresh the effect. So, a little change on how queen priorize/analyze its targets (while in a group / smartcast) must + Show Spoiler + should =)

To stay with the theme: pick off after the events of brood war and pretend like the sc2 campaign never happened. Kerrigan isn't a whiny schoolgirl, Raynor isn't a love sick macho idiot, the feral zerg are all long dead, Mengsk is smart, Zerus is a volcanic wasteland.

I'm brainstorming some ideas, and the thought of Raynor getting killed off casually and insignificantly tickles me greatly.
