bobbob United States368 Posts January 13 2012 20:57 GMT #6 My biggest complaint with this map was that the mobs didn't do anything unless there was a giant swarm of them. It felt nothing like NOTD:AM, which was IMO the best version of the W3 NOTD maps since it required skill rather than just grouping up and shooting things. This map requires no skill until the boss comes around. The boss is extremely hard, which is good, but not particularly fun to play against, since it ends up just being dodge the stuff and then if you manage it, you get past. As well, playing by exploiting loading a new player into the game and having them leave for a medal just kinda defeats the purpose of earning the medals. If NOTD in SC2 is attempting to be a similar quality map to NOTD:AM was in WC3, I find it severely lacking, as do many of the better NOTD:AM players.

myopia United States2928 Posts January 13 2012 21:30 GMT #7 I played this map quite a bit in early 2011. It was fun, but the XP/medal grind is absolutely insane. I got ~1500 XP before a computer reformat lost all that progress. I won't be picking NOTD back up anytime soon.

NonConGuy United States416 Posts January 13 2012 22:15 GMT #8 Played it for the first time today, got into a game with 5 really high xp people with me being the medic. I had no idea what I was doing, ran out of ammo, went pure skills which one of them said was definitely not smart, died first. One of them said he was going to make a video for the Hills, whatever that means. Game just doesn't feel easy for a new player to jump into.
