I saw this on reddit a couple hours ago, I did a quick search here on TL and didn't see a thread about it.
Well someone went through the trouble to remake the SC Vanilla Terran campaign for StarCraft 2 - and it turns out its pretty well done! I played through it a bit to make sure it was legit, just a few of my favorite levels like Revolution, etc. It feels really good and they did a nice job capturing the atmosphere of the original campaign.
The Installation levels have been a bit....reworked though Interesting but kind of buggy and unreliable, but kind of fun nonetheless. Anyway just wanted to share, you can find the downloads at sc2mapster.com. All credit goes to Blizzard for the original work of the campaign obviously, and Ultraling for all his hard work to recreate this classic.

again if this is a repost I apologize! :3

He is talking about the Brood War campaign, not BW units

You realize that mav did the campaign, or at least the people who did used his units, correct?
|

it's mostly made by Ultraling. he did use the Installation mission done by someone else. Jones then picked it up after Ultraling and finished it off using parts of my mod. it's nice and well done.

No, its the original SC Terran campaign, Episode 1.
^Thanks for the additional info Maverick. Yeah it's pretty neat, every SC1 enthusiast should play it just for the nostalgia effect.

I just played through the entire thing (beat the last mission a minute ago), and its pretty well done. I wasn't a huge fan of the third person version of The Jacobs Installation, but overall it was good. I only noticed a few bugs through the play through:
- Gols on one mission had +3 ground with +1 air weapons (I can't remember which mission, haha. ><) - The gas in the far top left corner of The Big Push couldn't have a refinery built on it, and in the same mission there was a physics lab which my tanks didn't seem to want to kill and I had to bring in my marines.
Overall it's really well done. Hopefully he'll consider porting the protoss/zerg missions as well. The difficulty was pretty good as well.

<3 sc1in Galaxy, thank you all for sharing it!
Why mighty blizz has not featured M's sc2bw yet is beyond me. [leaves to add it to the list]
edit: added (red(heart)red)

Holy.... This is amazing! Does anyone have more details on when Jones was planning on releasing the others? The description in the link said simply "in the near future." I am really stoked for sc2bw getting some love in the single-player department!
edit: meant Jones, not Ultraling (he gets some credit too though)

I found this out and immediately covered it. I plan to play it when my long list of games to complete is finished. I have Dead Space 2, 4 games my friend just bought for my birthday, and Starcraft II (which I guess I'll do after I beat that remake campaign.)

This is a repost ><. The SC1 Campaign "Rebel Yell" has been a hotlink in the SCII Custom Maps section for weeks. Really great campaign though, well worth the play time, and production values are excellent. A few errors, but a great remake none the less.

It is an amazing remake I'm currently playing "Overmind" as well.
Anyone know if they're making the protoss campaign? Or for the matter, the BW campaign as well? I'd assume they are, but does anyone know for sure? Because I can't wait to play those.

Sounds kinda neat. I was playing through the SC1 campaign missions this week for kicks, I'd prefer to do it with updated graphicksu
I wasn't able to find these maps on B.net though, what do you search for?
