I personally like lots of siegetanks in the middle row + lots of slowing tower so that the units are clumped. A bunch of fart towers lvl1 are good vs hardened shield type monters. | ||

![]() Things you should know: - Farts are really good - Upgrades are very good - Lightingtraps + frost + slow (+stun later on) are insanely good - Slowtowers are a musthave Just make sure you get the fartrange upgrade from the first boss, and the frosttrap improvement from the 2nd. You shouldnt have much problems getting trought to lvl30 with just farts, traps and slow. Mix in a few marines for the earlier levels and the 'fast' creeps. Ive been trying abit with the 'ultimate' towers. The colossustower is pretty good, but it still seems abit less ultimate then I expected. Thor towers are good, tho cost alot and are single target. Could be good on endboss (but like i said, only got to 39). I havent tried the mothership yet but I hope its better then colossus and thor. Just get a good general middle section with farts upgraded + slow + frost + lighting + stun. They run past that area 4 times, so make the best of that. Rest of the areas are way less important, alto you might want slowtowers for everywhere. In the first ten rounds start with 2-3 marines (never upgrade marines above level 1) and add the far towers around the marine at the center, also add two fire traps and upgrade one of them to level 2 before the first boss wave. + Show Spoiler + When you get your first gas use it to upgrade fart tower's range (absolutely important to do that). Now put a lot of fart towers in the middle and keep upgrading them, add a marauder too replacing the marine at the center. Add two level 1 roaches too at the corners. + Show Spoiler + Keep upgrading your banelings and the fire traps (NEVER HAVE the fire traps at the same level because debuffs will stack and be less effective, have one at level 3 and one at level 2, no more no less). Add a frost trap near your fire trap in a smart position (check the screenshot). Before the second boss wave remember to add a Phoenix, you absolutely need one. + Show Spoiler + After the second boss get the frost debuff upgrade. Add a sentry and a buff tower, buff some damage and range too but focus on damage until it gets too expensive to upgrade. Upgrade your frost trap, the roaches and again, the banelings. Upgrade both your phoenixs (or at least 1) into level 2 before the third boss wave. After the third boss wave you should probably get the roach buff (which is very very weak...) since there is not much else that you use gas for. Remember to have 3 marauder to constantly slow the enemies (so they clump up and get hit more by then banelings, yeah!). Add a colossus tower and lots of marines to fend off absorb waves (you should have done this already tho!) + Show Spoiler + Will spoiler the pic and the strategy for the last boss wave if you don't want to know: + Show Spoiler + And that's it, hope it will help you a bit... some pics aren't added yet because the upload sites are giving me a bit of trouble (dunno why) so be patient for those. | ||

wave 2-9: sell ur baneling, get a firetrap and upgrade to lvl 2 as soon as possible. u should place it at a crossing wave 10: you should have around 2930 money, ask ur ally for 100 and get a ghost. afterwards u can put a marauder on that islands that has only 1 spot to build. and ofc get the ghost upgrade. keep getting ghosts until u have 7, place them in a way that all ghosts will benefit from an aura tower that will be placed in the very middle later on. when u have 7 ghosts get an aura tower and get all lvl 1 upgrades. then upgrade all ur ghosts. then upgrade all auras. then upgrade all ghosts and then again all auras. u should get some additional marauders in the meantime as well, theyre relatively cheap by this time. some marines for absorber waves always are a good investment (especially wave 14 and maybe 24). lvl 34 will be no problem cuz ur ghosts will headshot those absorbers. and ofc mass marine for lvl 40. stim them. u see its all about ghosts. not the dmg is important, its the chance to one-shot targets. | ||

Tried Goliathsorrow's strategy with SmoreJack, actually did about 10 waves worse T_T | ||

Basicly traps are amazing. A firetrap early on makes so you can easily save up for some good stuff. Lightingtrap + slowtowers also are insane. Make sure you upgrade all your slowtowers tho, if one hits them with 20% slow, the 50% slow will not override! Usually my final setup looks like this: - Slowtowers lvl2 in the center (first big square), and both corners of the 'islands'. - Farttowers lvl5 on the center bit between the island. 5 of them do the job just fine - Bufftower right behind the farts, max upgrades - 2 sentrys right behind the farts in the small spots that are left - 1 mothership for vortex, closeby - 1 lightingtrap lvl 3 in the middle - 1 frosttrap lvl2 in the middle - 2 firetraps lvl3 in the middle - 1 Thortower on the leftover island - Marines lvl1 in every space left over Basicly when they run to the middle after the first island, vortex right ontop of the lighting + frost (in between, you cant stack em). This will make all 5 banes explode on them, with frost, with lighting, while sentries stun even more to keep em there. This will instagib any wave, on hard, easily. They take damage and full debuffs in the vortex, so you simply keep em there for ages while they get hammered on. On the final boss, I usually have another bufftower in the marineisland (first one) for max dps. I stim them and actually use the vortex in between the middle area and the first island, so most marines get the max nr of hits in. Usually the boss is dead before it even needs another vortex at the farts + traps. They simply kill the boss as it is. The thortower is adding to insult, also with buff it can shoot pretty much over the whole area, giving constant dps. Ill try and upload a replay of the hard wins. | ||

Early fire trap, always upgraded asap, lets you get away with a minimum of other towers until after the second boss. Ice + lightning traps + slow towers + upgraded banelings in good positions, a stun tower next to the traps and maybe a poison tower, plus upgraded phoenix for the bosses later. Aura range is worth its price, then thor/colossus and mass marines for the last few waves - works well if your partner doesn't suck too hard. I have seen people use mass sniper + bling/siege to great effect too. | ||
