Maybe when Patch 2.1 comes out I'll be able to run some stuff. It'll get more potential players anyways with it being free.

Problem is I don't have money otherwise I would've done some tournaments earlier :v

Is there a recent and updated version of this map at the moment? I'd like to play on this more, but all the ones I can find are fairly buggy and rough around the edges (colonies leave weird spheres behind, reaver upgrades not having their own icon, etc.)

dunno man, it's OK on my end, Americas realm.
it could be a cache issue, I've had it many times, Blizzard's check for if a file is up to date or using the right dependency is pretty broken and misses a lot of stuff. In my experience anyway.

i dunno about that, 12 unit selection i wouldn't recommend, due to latency it interferes with your play far too much.
the others are fine.
I consider it fine with them on SC2 settings anyway, as you are punished pretty hard using 1 control group for your entire army.

doesn't smartcast break strong spells? storm, swarm irradiate etc

I'm willing to listen to whatever you'd wanna list out, but I don't expect you to put in the work of listing everything. Could you at least list some of the things that you're not trying to replicate but take from SC2 and what not (units per hotkey, rally, etc.)? Youtube doesn't work on my internet connection so I can't watch videos to figure it out on my own.

Smartcast is a balance concern, it works fine technically in sc2bw and it's needed because otherwise broodward spells are too strong.
However the 12 unit selection limit implementation is glitchy due to latency (it has to be done server side) so it's not really usable, and apparently it's impossible to do better with the tools given by blizzard.

Aww yuss!! Hopefully SC2BW can get some new love and gain traction like Starbow. This mod is so much better in my honest opinion and much much more nostalgic. Not to insult Starbow, I just much prefer this mod.
