Are you going to post it as an Arcade map? When I was experimenting with it during beta, publishing the map as 'Arcade' does all the matchmaking for you and it also shows others which games are "open" (i.e. currently hosted, waiting for players to join)

Unfortunately the other type of map (nonarcade 'multiplayer') is exactly as bad as it used to be in the old starcraft... so my hope is that Arcade mode makes sense for this mod:

I've seen maps like Hero Attack do multimap mechanisms. I wonder how they accomplish it? multiple layers of terrain that are deleted? huge maps of which only a subset is used (though those maps are huge to begin with) some sort of resource trickery?

These guys claim a big map is used and the borders are restricted somehow.

i played around with the carrier a little bit but not significantly.
i took away it's free instant unload all 8 interceptors tho

so just one map up for now, when im happy with the amount of bugs i'll start adding more.
or i was also thinking of just leaving it as one map that i would rotate every week, but i dunno about that.

I like the idea of a single rotating map to accumulate ranking until someone figures out how to do the multiple map + game area bounds hack.

I suppose the 'open game' feature could help with multiple maps, but I think now is the time to try to build up ranking with just a single map and expand if necessary

the same can be said about zealot, in sc2 they are room servant, instead in BW they are really menacing, the attack animation is important, and blizzard screwed it

I have a question for the Starbow project. Kabel has a problem with the mines priority. Units dont attack the mines if they are shoot by units. How did you fix that in sc2bw?

i gave them a behavior i think. i forget what it was, i'd have to go look.
behavior > modification > behavior > state flags > generate threat
place behavior on spider mine.

Is it me or do the hotkeys not work in north america?

I could hotkey buildings, but when I had selected a unit using the hotkeys I couldn't use keys to order it around (a to attack, b to build) or when I selected a building (eg command center) s would not build scvs. I could play by clicking the right panel, but not through hotkeys.

Also I was wondering if you could reverse the hotkeys so that they do the same thing as in the rest of the game. Often I find myself in a 1v1 and I have the SC2BW "keys constrained to left" selected and that remaps all the keys. It's difficult to remember e is prove in SC2 but p is probe in sc2bw...and if you like the SC1 hotkeys you can keep it that way for sc2 as well by leaving it in the bottom most selection...
