Looks like funcmode was right, it was my in-editor graphics and then i just changed the camera to game instead of editor. | ||

From your cp system or gratiously provided by sc2 for ingame: = function + S (different in pc/mac though) ![]() Just spend a lot of time adjusting the closer angles, adjusting to the different flares of the different doodads featured ... (remember to lock or un toggle all the undesirables you do not want featured in the shot, such as doodads in galaxy or unit selection graphics in game). Software can acquire the feed your computer's graphics card--screen gets... or produce/extract the raw data from the game engine... The first is cool and easy peasy, the second awesome and harder. For capturing video footage: fraps or vlc (uber cool! but it's also work). It's compulsory for video, for a start avoid it if you are looking for pictures only. Usually all cp systems have a simple function that allow screen capture, it disables whenever you watch a dvd (and probably will with browsers next). always eager to see original topography edit: added function + s | ||

How do I create chat messages? I am not talking about the notification area, I want to send text such as a computer saying GLHF, the same as players do. | ||

Sort of like in the sc2bw map, except every unit the same as in sc2. Also where can i change this value myself? | ||

Just to be clear, my answer was: You should post in MaverK's thread, asking sc2bw posters around which page(s) that particular information lies or even the man himself what you need... ..and make the map yourself, because sadly i don't think such a sc2 map (with star1 mining gameplay) exist... i could be wrong though ![]() mapmaking chant = posting about mining timings for star 1: sc2bw page 88 + Show Spoiler + MavercK Australia. Posts 1126 PM Profile Quote # 4.592 seconds from start mining to finished mining. currently i have it set to 5.2 or 5.3 seconds or something will try it tonight because i think currently mining is abit too slow. atleast in early game when trying to build your first depot/pylon without being supply blocked and constantly making probes. doesn't seem possible atm. *EDIT* 4.592 seconds seems perfect. trying build orders in sc1 and sc2bw it feels pretty much spot on. | ||

I didn't mean mining time, i meant the amount of workers that can mine a mineral patch. If i remember correctly it was 2 in scbw. | ||

You can implement/change different types of abilities / behaviors on the two units "workers" and resource nodes Since you can play with the data (= custom tag?) you can cap the number of workers to what you like. + Show Spoiler + Sorry i'd post pictures of galaxy pertaining to said data lines of the editor, but i'm working and am deprived of my own galaxy... How many? sc2 grants a huge number of workers (unlimited? i'd start with saying 18/24, cause i've had that in game (terrible terrible macro adso!)) and star1 does not (i think it was 2 too ![]() Later on in his thread Maverk indicates stuff about it... "3 drones would be too much"... (cost ratio).. just interesting thread to read overall... and obviously fall in <3 with his star1 revival. | ||

i have a question i cant make mixed cliffs worked like blizzard used them for crossfire everytime i switch between natural and artificial cliffs the terrain gets messed up like there is always space between them help pls ![]() | ||

but sometimes it's more a matter of doing the different "cliffs" in the right order changing "man made" over "organic" makes it drop to the lowest elevation= holes/bugs there is the tools/brush/allow cliff merging(bottom of the menu) ![]() you build up your map so as to intertwine the 2 types without glitches... and when you do get these... 1/ redo (like ramps) sometimes the new formula works, sometimes not 2/ use cleverly oriented doodads to hide monstrosities... 3/re do better, with no monstrosities... cause now you know how @ next post / delahunt: entirely my pleasure.. really, now go and make us awe! ![]() | ||

![]() Hey I was just wondering if anyone had any advice or information that would be helpful in how to make 1v1 Obs Maps. I thought it'd be kinda cool to have obs maps of all the ladder maps, but it seems like the only ones are Xel'naga Caverns and Metalopolis. Any information or links that people might have would be greatly appreciated. Also I was just thinking couldn't you just like take the Xel'naga Caverns 1v1 Obs map and then just like edit the file to have a different map terrain or something like that? Anyways any information would help... Thanks!! Post questions here if they can be answered in a couple of lines or a link. Obs+Maps search Mapmakers involved might open their mod to you so you can publish an extra one... You can change stuff if the map if is unlocked/accessible... i doubt it but i'm not able to check this minute... (u do it ![]() | ||

Then I ended up thinking I want to switch it to a space platform and have the bottom level hidden, problem is when I do that it looks like this... ![]() Has that stupid stuff along all the edges of the map and yes they show up ingame too. Was there anyway to easily get those to go away? I've tried doing all the texturing painting possible but I have no clue. | ||

the map would function like this: everything would be the same, but clicking anything that can (or should) be done by hotkeys, a voice shouts out that hotkey it would basically be a very entry level way of learning hotkeys, I wouldn't expect pros to be interested in it =) also if there is already anything like this created, please let me know too ^^ thanks. | ||
