Hydra has potential, but only time will tell. I think Calm is well over his peak (unfortunately) but he might surprise me.
There was kwanro, but then people learned to build sunkens, bunkers, and cannons to stop him with ease.

I really don't see the point of a Power Rank predicting who's could possibly be doing well in the future.
Well he's been doing better than some of the other CBNC, he's 4-5 in PL this month and 1-0 against Hyuk with probably the hardest map out of the way.
Action is 3-3 in proleague and only in the MSL Ro16. Mind is also in the OSL Ro8, but didn't even qualify for MSL and his 3-2 PL record in December had wins against rookies like Anyppi, hon_sin, and Brave. Roro went 2-4 in PL this month and didn't even qualify for OSL.
If fantasy doesn't deserve CBNC I don't see how these three do.
As I said earlier, Fantasy dropped ~100 ELO points over the course of the month. Something shook him and he flopped hard. He was nowhere close to being on the Power Rank and therefore undeserving of CBNC.
Also, personally I wouldn't have put Action, Mind, or Roro in CBNC, but your arguments for why they are undeserving are fallacious. MSL Ro16 hasn't been played yet, so saying Action is "only in the MSL Ro16" is saying that you are holding it against him that the OSL Ro16 was played first. Mind failed to qualify for MSL before December even started and hence shouldn't have a serious effect on [i]this[/i[ PR. Same for Roro not qualifying for OSL.

Record alone doesn't mean anything--might as well go off ELO then. I'm pretty sure that's been discussed to death in previous Power Ranks. The crux of the matter is Fantasy is simply not playing well. He went straight from his 2310 peak into randomly losing.
But he's been playing better than all three of those players, and I'd argue he's been playing better than Snow as well despite a worse record. What you're saying is that fantasy's been playing further from his potential than those players, which I agree with. But keeping fantasy off CBNC makes this seem like a "who's hot" list of players, rather than the players who are playing the best. Fantasy in a slump is better than Action, Mind, or Roro playing averagely.
And being in a slump makes you have momentum/power? It's the same reasoning for not having the Clam or Hydra higher up at the moment. Results are one thing, having good play is another. I don't know how many times I'm going to have to say this, but Fantasy just isn't playing well. Since he lost to Modesty the only good game I've seen him play is against Leta. You could potentially count his defense against Hydra well-executed, but that was still more Hydra overcommitting to hydralisks. The rest have either featured poor decision making (Soulkey x2, XellOs) or Fantasy getting outplayed in some manner. In the same sense, Fantasy's wins have been uninspiring. Everybody has beaten Free this season. Anytime, love the dude, but he's just not as good as he used to be. And Hyuk?

You realize that being at 2310 makes each loss lower your Elo by a lot more than losing when you're at 2100-ish, right?
I'm glad Jaedong + Flash dropped down and mothereffing Stork took it but at the same time, I would give Stork 50/50 win prediction rate verse Flash or JD, so it could go either way. The only difference is, Stork has had much better recent performance.
God I wish Bisu would learn how to PvT from Stork.
At first I was like wtf, but after I checked the stats I see that this is a fair ranking. Stork is #1 this month, and Flash being out of both Leagues gives him a bad spot. JD has lost some weird games that he shouldn't have lost and so the ranking is good.
Except for one thing: Hogil! Really? That guy is just not good. He made it through his group, but he can thank luck more than his own skill. Beating Perfectman or Jaehoon in ZvP is nothing to be proud of, and I don't know what was up with JD in their match.
He started the month 0-4 and his 4 wins were not impressive at all. He has some potential since some time, but overall his play lacks on so many levels. Fantasy or others would deserve this spot much more.

Ummm.... no fucking shit dude. But in case you haven't noticed, you have to play waaaaaaaaay below your level to lose ELO points that fast no matter how high you are rated. Not even Flash fell that far and his ELO is much higher meaning he has even more to lose.
Fantasy had a bad month. Hopefully he'll play better in the future. But if you want to claim anything other than the truth that Fantasy played [i]nowhere near what you expect from a top ten player this past month then you are completely and utterly delusional. Something threw Fantasy off his game right when he appeared to be entering the height of his career. What did it? Why? I have no fucking clue and I'm not going to bother playing internet philosophy pontificating why because it doesn't matter. He was not close to being worthy of Power Rank and therefore not deserving of CBNC.

lol you're funny because flamewheel is a huge zerg fan (and 6 zerg on the power rank... but i'll attribute that to swarm season maps)
Is there really a "swarm season" (i.e. periodically happens every year), or did you just mean that to refer to how there are so many zerg maps?
Nah, it's just referring to how the maps seem to be Z-favored. A bunch of mediocre-to-good Zergs don't just suddenly start all advancing in Starleagues and winning a lot in Proleague...
Yeah thats why I think flash was so dominate in 2010 was because of all the terran favored maps... No but seriously lol I doubt these maps are any worse then the last couple seasons.

It seems it will be settled in their bo3.
while im a bisu fan more than a stork fan (although i love both!), i dont think bisu should be above stork. stork has been consistently very good for months, is still in both leagues, has gained momentum this month, has once again a ridiculously scary pvt at the moment and has a general aura of domination with him.
bisu has the better stats and the traditionally better pvz.. but at the same time he is out of one league and many many ppl, even many of his fans, were seriously doubting him to make it out of his msl group. bisu was questioned. had he lost the msl group games, he would be somewhere on #8 or so on this PR. he had to prove himself because there was still massive doubt about him. he erased this doubt with stellar play, so he definitely deserves his top2 spot, but the pure fact that he was questioned shows that he is still lacking the aura of dominance that stork has atm. stork wasnt doubted by anyone this whole month....
all in all, its a great PR. and pleasantly on time this time.

If Stork was in a group against Shine, Kal and Really, people would question his ability to advance too because that's a hard group. Not as much as Bisu, but still. I personally believe Bisu is playing better, but Stork still deserves it for the dual leagues. He may not be able to use carriers while playing cellphone games(is there a pun somewhere in here?), but he can still make zergs' lives a living hell while having awesome hair.

well, i think there is a broad consensus that stork and bisu belong to the top2 spots this month and that right now there is not much separating them. luckily for us, the question of who the leader of the recent surge of protoss is will be answered by the msl ro16 game between them.
edit: ppl were not only questioning bisu because his group was really strong, they were also questioning him because he had been failing quite a lot recently against both kal and shine.
I'll take FanTaSy out of the PR. He just did not deserve it. What upsets me is Hogil's appearance in it. The guy went 50-50 with no display of power whatsoever and no big names under his belt other than a very bad ZvZ vs Jaedong. Watch the game. Watch Jaedong's expression pre-game. The guy looked incredibly tired/sick with huge dark circles under his eyes...
Modesty did a better job and had a good month overall, actually qualifying in the OSL unlike Hogil.
Other than that: Very nice write up. Thanks for the early PR =].
Although I lament for JD's fall, Birdnests (new name for Stork's carriers) can apparently carry up to 12 interceptors. I think Bisu will overtake Stork if Bisu's epic "make as little mistakes as possible" starsense comes into play. Never forgot that one (I think MSL?) game with Stork in white and Bisu in yellow where Bisu just kept taking the high, kept storming better, kept taking the little advantages while he could and rolled Stork. Such a good player when up to it.

i think u mean game 5 of their msl finals, on loki. the best pvp of all times.
afaik stork forgot to research goon range in that one, which made him lose all the early game skirmishes slightly, which then snowballed into a bisu win.

swarm season was actually a very brief amount of time (compared to the whole entire BW scene history) and T vs Z was actually 50/50 during the time.
It shows how much abuse Z players have suffered from T
Bisu versus Stork honestly almost always delivers. This is one matchup that you can look forward to with very little chance of disappointment. So many epic games like the one above, game 2 at IEF one year and game 3 I believe it was in the OSL that Stork won. I hope Bisu come out on top this time, of course. Stork can have OSL :D.
And someone said that they wished Bisu would learn's Stork's PvT but I disagree. I much prefer Bisu's PvT, I just wish he would improve his own style lol.

Bisu's PvT is very cut and dry. He produces results but not as much flair as Stork's imo. Idk its subject to opinion I guess.
