I love fanboy rages. Seriously, there's no point in monthly PR with Flash/Jaedong fanboys. When you dismiss starleague appearances, then there's no point in judging individual players.

Okay, say for January, we put Flash #1 still. What happens in Feb, when Flash continues to be out of both SLs and say Stork or Bisu make it to the finals? I guess Flash should still be #1 then? And what happens the month after when you have new MSL/OSL champions? Is Flash still #1 then? And when the next round MSL/OSL comes about, is Flash still #1 because technically this round of starleague was worthless because he wasn't around?

Power Rankings should be seasonal from the perspective of fanboys. And then if there's a season where their favorite player screws up, it should be nullified and changed into annual PR. And if their favorite player slumps, it should be changed into "who has had the best career PR".

id say this PR would be a little off, if you count a month's value as 80% and history's value as 20% even. is it, now?
a month ago, the number 1 spot was for 'listing achievements flash has done during that month', and now he's 5th. + Show Spoiler +
flash is ONLY 7-5 this month (u guys are probably like 'holy shit, u for real bro? thats horrible!' thats actl rather close to kal's career win percentage)

JAEDONG (omg i love u jaedong), who is 10-5 this month (again, horrible as hell, i mean COME ON MAN THAT'S ONLY 66.6%) lost to hogil and hiya. fine, completely unacceptable. but really, who would argue against the game against hiya being a serious fluke that probably happens in a very very rare blue moon? against hogil, really horrid and slooppy, unexcusable, but SERIOUSLY, STILL. would u be more scared of bisu than jd when it comes to vZ? bisu lost to a slumping action because he let it get to macro game.
enough on that.
stork has a superb and fantastic month, no one can really disagree, fine. but come to his vT (probably the current best vT as well), and do u think he would say that hes actl rather close to flash's vP yet?
the gap between JF and basically 'everyone else' is thinning, with JF's losses helping that thin faster, but there is way more for everyone to do before they come really close to JF.
also, who in the top 3 is truly DOMINATING like JF when they were at peaks? perhaps stork/bisu, but for so damn long? and now with wr of JUST ONLY SLIGHTLY ABOVE 50%', they get dropped to 4th and 5th.
id say requestion whos 1st and whos 2nd for JF, and sort out the protosses 3rd 4th and 5th.
when bisu starts losing again, see how tough it is to drop him simply because youve experienced his amazingly overhyped recovery before. but not for JF eh.

Lol you do realize this is a relative ranking not a is jaedong still good ranking right. Jaedong failed this month, hard. He has no momentum. JF was never as good as you seem to think they are. The past few seasons with swarm maps and Terran maps really did a number on pro toss. Stork has always been better than those two, you're just seeing the results of that now.

Good power rank! Just enough subjectivity, statistics and upsets

"To all eSports fans, I want to be remembered as a progamer who can make something out of nothing, and someone who always does his best. I think that is the right way of living, and I'm always doing my best to follow that." - Jaedong. /watch?v=jfghAzJqAp0

It's a monthly ranking... nobody is infering that Stork, Kal, Bisu, Jaedong are Flash or more fearsome than the other.

Janurary ranking is mostly dependant on the players performance in December. Thats that.

I agree with 1st and 2nd place. I think 3 though to 5 are difficult. Kal is dual individual leagues with a mediocre proleague result. Jaedong is in the MSL chocked in the OSL and has a robust proleague performance(which upon closer inspection is not upto the bonjwa standards as they should be with losses to various other strong opponents. looking A+(leta, sea) but not Sclass(flash jaedong). Flash is out of both individual leagues but has a beast proleague record and imo continues to have the largest aura of intimidation.

I'm happy with the rankings from 6th till 9th and would probably switch Mind for Hogil at 10th. Mind's play may not be very inspiring but he's damn solid.

Seriously, if you'd ask me what I remember most about Hydra, it's his 38 drones getting carved up by BeSt's single dark templar in playoffs last year.

Didn't Hydra win that game and 2-0 his MSL group? Or was that a Proleague playoff game?

Edit: Proleague playoff thread seems to point to it happening there. I didn't remember it, anyway. My most memorable Hydra moments have more to do with Stats storming his own buildings and stuff.
High five :---)

lol this is seriously the worst power ranking i have ever seen in my life.

The ranking seems to put some ridiculous weight on being in OSL/MSL -- really? Enough to put Stork over Bisu, when Stork suffered some embarrassing losses recently? I dunno, that's just arbitrary bullshit to me lol.

Flash is bonjwa but he's #5? That's utter nonsense -- if Flash is not PR #1, he is not bonjwa, let it be that. Drop the arbitrary title if you're going to admit he's not the scariest player at the moment.

And then you have Kal magically at 3rd. Have you seen him play in the Proleague? I think you got swept a little too much by Kal vs Shine or something, because Kal is 1-4 in Proleague.

Hogil #10? It makes me wonder if you even WATCHED the games that Hogil actually played -- they hardly resembled Hogil actually playing well.

This is seriously disgusting lol. honestly looks like some sort of ridiculous fanboyism and arbitrary and easily swayed rankings. If your rankings shift that much in 15 days then well, I question the quality of the rankings before =/

Yeah Bisu's play is soooooooooooooooooooooo inspiring...
Embarassing loss like to Lucifer yeah ? Which are the others exactly ? At the very limit, the first to Shine I guess.
You're pretty lucky that Bisu had a BO win against Kal, because it's the only reason he's at
And, guess what, you're also putting an arbitrary weight on PL. Honestly what would you have wanted ? What would you have done ? Noo ne is really dominating atm, and no one is playing well in all three match up.
I don't see for instance, how you could put Jaedong over Kal with Jaedong's play.
I'd say you have your own biases and you're own way of ranking, which might explain why some people are happy about this PR, and some are saying it's utter crap.
If I want a non-arbitrary PR, I go check TPLD, or Kespa's ranking.
And as for fanboyism, there has been much much worse on the PR in the past.

The point is that the Power Ranking is very inconsistent. If I wanted to know who was performing well in PL and was still in OSL/MSL, I can look it up. I don't need the PR to tell me this. PR should be for players who are playing well, showing us good games showing off their skills and honestly, this PR is terrible in that regard. It doesnt hurt that the writer believes it's "unquestionable" Stork is #1, when it is VERY VERY questionable. Whoever wrote the PR, well, should think the rankings over before posting them ~_~

I ignored the rest of your post because I stopped reading at "Bisu had a BO win against Kal" and the tone of your voice implies that I'm some bisu fanboy or something. Quite the contrary.

Stork has always been better than those two, you're just seeing the results of that now.

Well, Winners League is coming out. If FlaSh starts destroying whole teams left and right, yeah, its deserving for him to be #1, despite being out of both Starleagues.

I do agree with your points, though. FlaSh's OSL/MSL losses are heavy, so its reasonable for him to not be #1 despite still being the Bonjwa. Winners League is FlaSh's chance to come back to #1, but he needs to work on it.

(P)Kal over (Z)Jaedong and (T)Flash feels a bit weird but yeah pretty good Powerrank overall.

(P)Stork has Always been better than those two, you're just seeing the results of that now.

Not that i really agree with him but im pretty sure ive heard similiar things about (T)Flash back when he started to dominate.

Lol, go ahead and quote me, let's say, 7 fanboys who raged over flash/jaedong not being #1 or #2 respectively.

You didn't even read the thread, did you?

Bisu versus Stork honestly almost always delivers. This is one matchup that you can look forward to with very little chance of disappointment. So many epic games like the one above, game 2 at IEF one year and game 3 I believe it was in the OSL that Stork won. I hope Bisu come out on top this time, of course. Stork can have OSL :D.

And someone said that they wished Bisu would learn's Stork's PvT but I disagree. I much prefer Bisu's PvT, I just wish he would improve his own style lol.

Bisu's PvT is very cut and dry. He produces results but not as much flair as Stork's imo. Idk its subject to opinion I guess.

But he doesn't. He consistently gets kicked out of starleagues by losing to various terrans. While whenever Stork sees terran in BoX, it usually ends ridiculously one-sided in Stork's favor.

Bisu has good PvT record because he kills terrans in the proleague. But when his opponent prepares against him, he becomes a lot less awesome at it.

The only "recent" BoXs that Bisu has lost to terrans was one to go.go., The Ro4 match against Fantasy, and the Avalon MSL Bo5 against Iris. Those are three that come to mind. While his wins are a Bo3 against Flash in WCG Korea, Bo3 against Mind last OSL, Bo3 against Baby in WCG 2010. He wins some and loses some.

First of all, players barely practice for WCGs. So it's hardly comparable to OSL/MSL. And second of, it seem as a Bisu fan you're blocking out his most recent loss in a PvT BoX as if it didn't exist. Here's a hint: the terran's pretty popular here.

Look, if one were to argue that Bisu's superior player to Stork, I think there's a good case for it. I do think his PvZ and PvP are superior at this point, although Stork's recent PvP crapola may just be an aberration.

But there's no case for any protoss to reach Stork's status in PvT. There just isn't.

WCG Grand Finals may not matter all that much, but players do place SOMEWHAT of an importance in WCG Korea. And yes the Bo3 against Sea slipped my mind (dont accuse me of fanboyism), and yes that series was a pretty bad showing of Bisu's PvT, but if you look at his history of PvT BoX's the results arent THAT bad. He still manages to win PvT series. Like I said, he wins some and loses some.

I am also in no way saying that Bisu's PvT is better than Stork. I dont think anyone in TL can argue for that. What I am saying is that Bisu's PvT, while bland and uninspiring, produces results.

Now I will drop this subject since I think you and I both agree with this ranking yes?

Im fine with Stork and Bisu, but Kal above JF ?, Cmon, Kal is a choker, he just doenst have the NERVES, to beat JF-Bisu-Stork in a Bo3 or Bo5, He will always be good, but he will never win a StarLeague. i dont care if he won against Flash ONE single game, he doenst deserve to be above. He already had his opportunities to play Bo3-5 against the tops and GOT DEMOLISHED.

This was a really hard month for the PR maker imo.
I don't know what I'd done if I wrote it but it just seems wierd to see Flash at #5

anyway good writing.
According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

To all those that want Flash at the top: He didn't accomplish anything for all his skill. What claim does he have to #1 other than an OSL win months ago and a good PL record? If you argued for him above JD and Kal, that would be reasonable, but Bisu and Stork are the two best(in any order). He certainly isn't the scariest player if he can't beat Ssak, Classic, and Hyuk in games where it really matters when they don't even expect to win.
If you are not Bisu, chances are I hate you.

The thing with storks pvt is that he does not seem to be able to get beat by strategies that should own his. He fends of timing pushes in mid-to-lategame against his carriers with pure goons against big, well balanced terran armies. As soon as his carriers are out he has practically won. The only "recent" vt he lost was to stork and he managed to hang in there for very long after he just flew his entire innitial carrier force into goliath before they ever did damage. Bisu has very good pvt but he seems to have problems against timing pushes and supersolid play.

i dont agree with the power rank someone said this and i believe it to be true if you have only 1 opponent to play for you and that person decides whether you live or die who would that be? or who would you least want to play in a final to decide your life just basic things that tell whether opponent is scary or not to me stork isn't scary because he gets destroyed by flash and to me bisu isn't scary because he gets destroyed by himself honestly i dont agree with power rank but since it has been awhile since the protoss has even been on the pr well we will just leave it at that

edit:i agree with the stork thing since he can go head to head with jaedong but he still loses to flash so since both of them are out of the league and stork can beat jaedong reasoning behind this i believe he should keep number 1 just flash/jd should take 2/3

um its called a bad day or bad few weeks either way but here is the thing he has a 70 percent win ratio highest anybody has ever had ever except maybe jaedong here is the thing flash and jaedong are known for their monstrous ability to outmacro any opponent they face of course sometimes they don't but honestly if i had to choose someone for playing for my life it would be flash or jaedong
