Actually, all 3 examples are correct. Whether he's saying the awards made him do something figuratively, or the awards figuratively made him do something, the meaning is exactly the same. It works like that with literally also, "(It literally made me break a rib laughing", or "It made me literally break a rib laughing," or "It made me break a rib laughing, literally") are all correct. Another example: "Figuratively speaking, the award made me laugh my ass off." There are a number of ways to express it. | ||
