I doubt it was fake because it allowed every single protoss to whip zergs around for the first time in Starcraft history but I reckon the reason Savior got crushed so bad (he played astoundingly badly) by Bisu was due to him throwing the finals series for cash.
why do people keep saying this, the supposed fixing happened WAY after

Unlikey, while everyone has their price, i don't see savior (or anyone) intensionally loosing a final unless they were paid a lot of money, and supposedly most of the payoffs were 5kish. Also, bisu was a dominant player for a long time after savior, making it unlikely that it was a fluke.
the speculated winning rate for savior was insanely high though, making it rather likely for him to drop that game.
Don't look too badly on these progamers. It's only human, really- Progamers are basically poor artists who live in bad conditions and give up their free time and personal lives to become better at Starcraft. And not everyone can pull down a big contract like Flash- Most progamers probably wind up retiring unknown and wishing they had gone to college.
The progamers aren't to blame here- the system is. It's ridiculous to ask anyone to work that hard for that little compensation.

That's true for someone like DarkElf or Justin but not Savior. He was set for life even if he spent all the money he won at his prime.

why does it matter what the odds were when there was no fixing going on back then according to the articles?
SAY IT AINT SO, JOE!!! Much like baseball with the black sox scandal. This was something that was bound to happen sooner or later. It will just make the industry have tighter rules and checks in place for this kind of thing. I hope.....

Most of you would have probably done the same thing given a choice.
Not saying what these people did was justified but I'm not going to come down too hard on them.
yeah because most progamers are involved in this scandal, right? I mean it's not like it's only a select group that stooped to this, right?? Like, there's not a list of only 8 or so guys that chose to fix games in the OP of this thread is there?
I'm gonna be honest, while the principle is of the whole thing is still terrible, the magnitude wasn't nearly as bad as had been hyped up. I was really expecting to see a lot more big names and just more names in general just from all the hype that was going around when this news first hit us. I think that everyone will learn important lessons from this but I don't think it'll affect e-sports much otherwise.

No one ever said that this would be some ESPORTS-shattering event, or that there were many progamers involved, Savior is a big deal though.
