Detective - You have the ability to ask me, once per day/night cycle, whether or not a specific clue points to a specific person. You will receive a simple yes or no answer and hopefully be able to sway the vote in such a way that reflects that answer. Alternatively, you can use your power to find out how many mafia voted for a specific person for lynching, you may only learn about one person voted on.

I didn't realize how powerful the detective is. I think we should all begin analyzing clues more deeply for this one remaining detective to be asking questions. Just the simple YES to one of these questions means the death of a mafia member. This is especially important in this stage of the game where we need every mafia hit we can possibly get, and QUICK.

Or worse... a mafia pretending to be detective so that we waste a lynch then pratically GG since we will probably lose 6 more tonight, then a wasted lynch = 6 more +1 townie then we only have like 20 townies left. and the few inactive wins will not vote for lynches and mafia win.

If a detective wants some answers checked out who voted for me last night. At least 5 of them have been suspects with at least 1 clue pointing towards them.

With our luck I'm going to assume that the one detective left is inactive, and what randombum just said will probably happen.

Or ofcourse with my luck, if the detective decided to come out of inactivity and say "omg I found a mafia" we won't believe him....we're boned.

Just for the heck of it, I'm going to post the roles I plan on using next game. If anyone has any questions or concerns about them please post them.

Marine: Same as Towny
Magistrate: Same as Mayor
Marshall: Same as Pardoner
Medic: Same as Paramedic
Science Vessel: Same as Bodyguard
Ghost: This player gets to use one of two abilities at night. He may cloak, making himself immune to being hit or he may use his snipe ability to kill off a player. He cannot use either more than twice and he cannot kill a player until the second night of the game. If he chooses the same person as the Infested Terran's then his hit is ignored (but is still used up).
Comsat: Same as detective but he also gains a new ability. He may ask me whether or not a specific person is mafia or not, he may only ask this twice per game and once per night.
Firebat: Same as elder but he also gains a new ability. When the Firebat is attacked by an Infested Terran he disables that person for the following night (meaning the mafia could lose one hit the next night depending on how many they have alive at the time it happened).
Goliath: Same as Veteran but I upped the night life count to 3 from 2.

Infested Marine: Same as Mafia
Queen: After spending much resources infesting Terran's of the colony the Queen of the few is left with one ability. The queen may ensnare (disable) one persons role each day/night cycle.

Possible Roles:
Infested Terran: Has the ability to suicide into a person killing them regardless of whether or not they are a Goliath or protected by a Medic (Magistrate and Marshall's are still protected from this hit if Science Vessels are alive). If there are Medics protecting the targeted person and/or the Infested Terran then they die as well.
Vulture: May lay spider mines on one player per night (maximum 3). If he is killed he will throw the switch and detonate them, killing the players (if they aren't protected by extra night lives or Medics). He may remove any of them off players at any time in the game and if a players is killed with one on them while the Vulture is still alive he loses that Spider Mine.

Great idea's Chuiu. Although u can make the marine a role and SCV being a normal townie. Iono Marine has a gun might be able to be another ability (Stim? 50% chance to run away, can be used up to 3 times. Can be refreshed if healed by a medic to stim again.) OR scv can repair a goliath to bring his life count back to 3. Iono, just throwing ideas out there.

Edit: Thought up a few more ideas that might be fun.

SCV- Build bunker can shelter 4 townies including himself for one night. Targets cannot be targeted by mafia. If the scv chooses a mafia that mafia is save from being sniped/yamatoed.

Valk- Completely useless townie that stops shooting. Given the ability to kill himself.

Wraith- Cloak like a ghost for a night or two.

BC- YAMATO! Once a comsat has determined a mafia member he can be yamatoed. So its a vigilante that only gets his powers AFTER the mafia is known. Saves a lynch.

Seige-tank (for mafia) Kills a person and splashes another townie if that townie has previously stimmed he dies. If not next night splash finishes him.

There, Thats every terran unit.

More mafia abilities can be

Lurker- can hit multiple people for 1/2 their life after two hits they all die. (too starcrafty?)

Defiler- Swarm, Mafian way of pardoning. It will be obvious that the lynchee was mafia, but it will also protect them from vigilante kills that night.

Just some ideas, most of them probably won't work.

I don't have to, no, but looking at it as if it were Starcraft themed allowed me to come up with some more of the roles and how they work.
