Even the cloaking + sniping abilities seem like they should go to different roles (e.g. I think people would prefer having more Townies with special roles than having some already-special roles gain new abilities). I wouldn't mind a few StarCraft-themed roles that fit their abilities very well, like the infested terran one. It just seems... well, pointless and maybe even confusing to rename all of them =/. (Also, IIRC the renaming idea already got shot down on Maplantis or SEN, didn't it?  ) | ||

Speaking of those older Mafia games, I recommend checking out SEN's 3rd Mafia game. The stupidity-invoked events were hilarious  . I'll summarize what happened and link to the relevant posts in the spoiler tags below, to avoid taking up a chunk of space with off-topic stuff.+ Show Spoiler [the first few days] + Firstly, I recommend reading the first page for the different rules and to see who the 5 mafia guys are. Next, if you want to jump right to the interesting bits, I suggest starting at Day 2. Notice who was saved by a paramedic... . From there on, Mini Moose keeps writing murder clues that point very obviously to DT_Battlekruiser, but most people believe it's impossible for him to be Mafia .The next bit of fun comes after the Mafia hits one of the paramedics. After death, he says, "Well, I tried to find the other paramedic, but the idiot never releaved himself to me." Then the other paramedic replies, "Your fault for not trying to find me hard enough. " (rofl)Later, at the end of Day 3, a Towny and a Mafia are tied to be lynched, and in their game a tie meant both people would be lynched. But the Towny breaks the tie at the last moment by voting for himself! Hopefully all you guys who've made mistakes in this game don't feel so bad anymore .+ Show Spoiler [the ending and punchline] + Eventually, the Mafia (predictably) win, despite very obvious clues for DT_Battlekruiser and pretty obvious clues for Cnl.Fatso as well, both of whom survive 'till the end. After the end-of-game post, Mini Moose goes on to explain most of the clues he left. Finally, the biggest twist of them all is revealed by Mafia member ClansAreForGays. (Note: Woa was one of the few guys who believed the clues pointed to DT_Battlekruiser.) (Emphasis mine.) READ THE RULES YOU IDIOTS! You dumasses should have listened to Woa, it's scary how almost dead-on he was. The only thing wrong with his statement was that I didn't know DTBK was going to have a doctor, I genuinely wanted him dead. (He then goes on to explain why he wanted to hit his own Mafia member.) And that's the story of how stupidity contributed to the most epic Mafia game ever ^_^. | ||
