I don't think rayn is town he is playing completely different to the game I play with him before. He was aggressive but I feel like his push on Slam is an easy low hanging fruit type push. Survivor might not be town but its not mafia finding mafia > lynching the survivor. Austin don't you think that finding those who easily believed the survivor claim are likely to be mafia? This is a post by tehpoofter for example. He uses connection on an unflipped survivor to push for rayn. | ||

I will look over him more, but again, I just liked his response to my scumread on him and there was that one particular post that I just don't think scum makes. | ||

Sure, it could be scum giving a funky scummy answer and being unwilling to call me mafia, but it doesn't read like someone just unwilling to call me mafia, it's this strange-sounding plan "AHA I AM TOWN AND HE IS TOWN AND SCUM WILL HAVE A HARD TIEM DEALING WITH TOWN ON TOWN ACTION AND SO NOW I SHALL PURSUE SCUM HAHA!"(Would be useful to look and see whether he pursues any reads on the people he was asking about my case on him. He SHOULD be doing this if he's really trying to read those people) He also calls my existence as Quetzalcoatl "bird RP bullshit." Scum is unlikely to risk my wrath by mocking my divine avian nature. | ||

I want to respond to this first since it's easier- Nuking by Night I am a little confused that you think I might want to hold the nuke Austin… I think most everyone reads you as the most likely town this game, both from your play and thanks to having a few people claim to protect you on various nights. So if you think I should hold it, I will certainly consider it. My concern is this - we don’t know exactly how conversions happen. We’ve speculated (maybe it happens odd nights?) but I think the only sure thing is that it happens at night (based on rayn’s role PM). If I nuke during the day, the nuke may kill someone who could have converted. Maybe not, I don’t know if converted people can convert or what. Also, I’d kind of like to hold other players to the same standard as me: if the other VTs get nukes tomorrow, I think I want to be able to require that they shoot during the day. If I hold the nuke, we may get information. Let’s say we lynch kush (I skimmed the cases from Austin and kita, I will reread it and comment at length after this post). Regardless of whether he flips green or red, the information we get isn’t necessarily going to point to anyone. He might be green and kita is godfather; he might be scum and kita is town; he might be scum and kita is scum. We do get a little information - if he is scum, and his role PM indicates he was converted, we can better evaluate his interactions with kita D1 (because he would have been town at the time). If we lynch kita, it’s possible the information is very helpful. If kita’s role PM reveals he is scum and is not a godfather, kush is confirmed scum. I suppose firing the nuke also confirms that I received it, but I don't think there's really any doubt of that. If you think I should hold onto it let me know. | ||

I'd say hold off considering you will need to fire within the next few hours to make the deadline. Lynch will also give us clues so we would be able to make a more informed decision. "Each night you may to chose to protect someone by PMing that person’s name to all the hosts, and that person will be unable to be converted to an alignment different than his current alignment. If you successfully prevent someone from being converted, you will die protecting them." Rayn's role makes it sound as if the conversions are a night action, so you likely wouldn't need to worry about it if you fired it at the start of the night. There may be a chance that you get converted after shooting a scum, which would kinda suck though  | ||

@kitaman27: I think austin indicated that he attempted to roleblock you n2. Per vivax's jailing of austin, austin was also a roleblock target. We don't know how it works when roleblockers target roleblockers. But, it is possible that you austin roleblocked you. If that's the case, it is also possible you did not get an action n2 and still can use the protect power. I don't know if hosts would tell you if you still have the power, you can check with them if you feel like it. Back to case. | ||

I've been thinking a bit about his role and there's the fact he doesn't know who he's following or what that role does. His role is actually the only role currently claimed able to gain information for scum unless one of the claimed vanillas is a scum rolecop or something like that. There is also kita pointing out something scummy on him, then leaving him alone until D2 and calling me asking him questions useless. This is connection based, but maybe you will listen to a guy like Foolishness who is one of the best scumhunters on this forum. He's not infallible but he's good. Otherwise I pointed out the way he handled kita D1 being reluctant to call him scum yet feeling the need to ask him about his actions. | ||

Now ask yourself this: Is it likely that town has 3 protective roles when scum has 2 KP at night 2 with kita being a vet, a roleblocker, a doctor and a tracker at once? We have a watcher, a detective, a tracker? A doctor, a JK, another doctor? If you think I'm town then you should be wary of kita's claim. | ||
