And I have a distinct feeling moosy has no idea what he is talking about regarding the integration of immigrants. It depends a lot on their cultural background. We still have turkish immigrants who live here in the 3. or even 4. generation who are less integrated than their parents and who do not care to change that at all.
Many syrian refugees (who in my experience really do their best to integrate most of the times) are already doing far better than them. The actual problem right now are the illegal immigrants from north africa who have no future here.

Yeah i have nothing against helping people who are in the need of help. But you gotta draw the line somewhere and i don't really get why over 50% of the people who are in the need of asylum based on the persecution they suffer from are grown men... Shouldn't they be the ones who solve the conflicts and rebuild the country? Instead of women and children who magically somehow do not end up here.
Also a good portion of the people come from places where group A and group B are in whatever kind of armed conflict. Group A gains an upper hand -> people from group B are in danger of getting killed -> they run and seek for asylum. Tides change and Group B is now winning -> same happens with people from group A... This obviously causes problems, yet not a lot of people for some reason can see how, lol. 
It's like, if me and Koshi wanted to kill each other, JAT comes in and takes both of us into his house, and somehow this makes us not wanna kill each other? Not only that but in case the obvious happens and me and Koshi start a fight it's obviously JAT's fault because he couldn't make us integrate properly.... That's how it goes nowadays.

Well, the reason (at the very least part of it) why most of them are men is that it can be really dangerous to get over here in the first place (and it can take a long time too). Especially for women. The plan for most of them is "send the toughest ones first and they can get asylum for everyone" because then they can legally get their families to come over.

The population in a lot of European countries is very lopsided in terms of the elderly already. A lot of these Syrian refugees are highly educated. I really don't understand why everyone only sees the threats and not the opportunities, probably because all our governments are so mediocre. Product of democracy.
A benevolent dictatorship would be nice.

Probably, but i am not quite sure what to believe anymore since at least what media (and politicians) tells here is utter crap. I am sure though it's not the case for a loooot of people coming from there. I mean like approx every other person has mystically lost their passport (because they can't be sent back as the countries do not take people back if they can't be being proven to be from there) and any other documents that might prove who they actually are. And then they think they are gonna re-unite their families? Without even being able to prove who they are themselves? That's pretty twisted logic right there. I mean.. i wouldn't wanna call anyone stupid but if that's the realistic "plan" given the starting point (that you really do not have a passport) and you are telling the truth and seriously believe that's gonna work, and even work really damn quick (as people usually think -- or even DEMAND -- and obvs complain when it doesn't), you are not quite bright...

I tried to make a comeback and see if I can rekindle the flames, but real life and my body have gotten in my way; so I will just take it as a sign that it is time to be done. I may come back to visit once every 6 months or so.
