I don't think that's what sicklucker is trying to say / argue against. I am totally not the best person to explain how i come to the conclusions i do because of the "language barrier" and my way of thinking. Some people get me, most people don't.

What's not funny is how close to the far-rightists got to getting control of that government. It's relieving to see that they didn't come to power. Hopefully other countries in the first world can also stave off their own ethnonationalist tendencies.

Ah, so I'm not SUPER well-informed about the guy except what I know from looking up on wikipedia (link). You'll note I do not call his party neo-nazis, as they're clearly not neo-nazis, just far-right ethnonationalists. They're anti-EU, afraid of islamisation, against immigration (as a concept), and supportive of a pan-germanic or pan-Austrian identity. The FPA is significantly to the right of the two main parties in Austria and basically appeals to Austrian identity etc etc. This seems to me to be very standard ethnonationalist fare.
