It makes sense along with BCs role. I can kill every night, so occasionally he might protect them or what not. I also "somehow manage to avoid getting killed". I'm assuming that's a vest of sorts. My alignment is Serial Killer. So I'll target whoever you guys want me to. Lynch me if I don't.
