Questions: Does armored mean extra life? does kp go through armor? where do the protoss factor into this game? You can't have a starcraft themed mafia game without protoss. Third parties maybe?


i was thinking about the marine/marauder thing. i think maybe marines get 3 shots per game and marauders get 2 or something like that.

I´m thinking about a non-PM game (except for scum), with several elements regarding to voting that is not widely known. Some roles don´t count when counting votes. Some count double. A hidden list of preference on who will be lynched in a tie. Easy/hard-to-lynch roles, either with extra hidden votes on them, a once-a-game -3 votes if they are about to be lynched, a town-only lynch-immune roles, permanent or once-a-game, whoever is second when this triggers is lynched. The aim is to keep people guessing by adding this element. Perhaps players know of their own abilities, or maybe not.

Agreed. When I talk to the others about the games, it's usually more about how people aren't thinking things through all the way and just relying upon whatever "scummy" posts were made in the last 12 hours.

I want to bring back old school mafia. I'm talkin' mafia with outside communication. PMs, IRC hacking, the works. No crazy roles, just vigs doctors cops vets mafiosos roleblockers framers godfathers (choose 3 from each).


It would be an entirely normal game, except there would be no anti-pming rules. If you want to talk to someone outside the thread, you can. Set yourself up a quicktopic. Townies can do the same. I want to see infiltration of circles and aliases in IRC.

Swedish House Mafia is going to tie in logic puzzles into a mafia game. If you don't know what a logic puzzle is, have a go at this famous one which was the inspiration for this game:

Got it right though!

I was thinking about a setup for a mini but I'm not sure how to implement it yet. Couples Mini, you have a teammate and have to try and work out who they are and be last team standing.

Well, I figured he was going for just a vanilla sort of game, very normal, more so than trying to copy old set-ups. I'd say clues are a step above just basic, and the third party in AA was somewhat different (1 SK and 2 pseudo-assassins along with traitors), so this would qualify it as different than AA, which was just played. I got the feeling he just wants a very normal looking game with no mechanics added on beyond mafia vs. town, so I'd think it would be different in those regards from AA.

Yep, wiggles got it. I'm talking a completely regular ordinary game without third party or weird gizmos. The sort of game your grandparents would play, like five card draw or bridge. I'd like to host it just because i've become attached to the idea of 'Tnkted's Proscum.' I'd have to cohost a game first though, who would I talk to about that?
