Me and Flamewheel for either World at War 2 or PYP Insane depending on what Ace's game is like.

I demand we cut in line because we've been meaning to host this for over three months now but school and applications have continually gotten in the way!!!

The queue for themed games is quite long, gotta figure out what to do about that x.x

I suggest limiting the number of games in the queue. That way game ideas don't get stale and we don't have a bunch of people just trying to reserve a spot because the line is getting longer and longer.

I'm better than dirt. Well, most kinds of dirt. I mean not that fancy store bought dirt. That stuffs loaded with nutrients. I... I can't compete with that stuff.

I've considered that as a possibility. But I think we do want to encourage normal games as well as themed games. There's a few options to fix the current problem:

1) If the queue for one type of game gets too large (like themed is right now), host two themed games at once to bring down the list. Bad news is that this means there won't be a normal game going on.

2) Try to keep the ratio of normal to themed at 1:1 (or as close to possible). Basically I won't accept games for the queue unless the amount of each games are the same or relatively close.

3) Flat out reduce the amount of games I allow in the queue. I have it arbitrarily set at 7 right now. I could reduce it to like 4 or something to stop long lines. However this may lead to a situation where as soon as a game is done people race to post in here to get their game up, which is a situation I want to avoid.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know! It's a difficult decision figuring out what to do about this.

You can have a list of people who are willing to host a game with given notice. I am sure we can find someone who will host a normal game for us. I don't like hosting 2 games at a time but from the looks of it you need a normalized mini game on the que, correct? I don't think it will be hard to find XXX** hosts, standard mini games seem to be where the drought is. On the bright side I am going to be running around 3 of them in the near future as part of a semester long research project in a class of mine.

No the problem is there are a dozen hosts who want to host theme games and barely any who want to host normal ones. The player demand is more skewed towards normal so something needs to fix this.

I vote #2. Actually whatever just be a tyrant and decide.

We could also have a limitation that first time hosts need to host normal games.

I would like to host a beta game for survivor. It would be cool to have a cohost to bounce ideas off, but I have some good ideas already.

Basically it's just like survivor. There are challenges [puzzles] and the winner earns immunity for the day. At night, there will be 1 SK who's goal is to kill everyone. Everyone else's goal is to survive and win the grand prize. The winner of the challenge will also receive a clue pointing towards the SK.

I don't think this has been done before so it would be a beta test. Anyone care to cohost with me?

Well I'd be interested in hosting/co-hosting either. I'm not too confident in crafting balanced setups but that can be worked around I guess

I might be willing to host a normal game sometime, if that would be ok, and I could fool around with the setup a bit so long as it was balanced. I'd have to wait until I had some free time though haha.

Hey foolishness what happened to that thread you created with the hosting points? It looked something like your first reply in this thread. I remember reading it but I cant find it anymore. I was thinking it could help break the logjam of hosts right now.

Personally, I like hosting/cohosting normal waaay more than I like hosting themed, so at the very least I can host normal games kinda regularly (maybe like every other game or something).

I'm also curious as to what happened with the point system. Did it get removed for being too elitist or something?

Hi I would like permission to run an experimental game called "Survivor" for about 9 to 11 people. I have written up a draft of the game to get permission from whoever is in charge. Please add me to the list or let me know when I can start this thread up. I spoke with Qatol about the details and can provide them to you.

I guess it can be categorized as a mini mafia.

As I said in an earlier post, I took it out mainly because it isn't needed right now. Of course I have all the data saved in case we need it in the future, but right now our community isn't big enough where we need something like this.

I was also thinking that it could help break up the logjam of hosts on the themed games. Right now I am thinking of doing the following: not accepting any more themed games until the queue is down to about 2 or 3. I want to prevent a scenario in which people are racing to post in here to get in the queue (which may happen if there's only one slot open). I think this is a good idea (at least for now) because it will be a while before the queue is down to 2 or 3, and people who may want to host now might not be able to once we get to that point. I also want to minimize the amount of cop-outs we have on hosting (kingjames already did this for example). By the time we're to Caller's game, he might be awol again =P
