Reading the posts in question, I don't think Therapist really merits a ban, a warning at most. He basically stopped after being asked to, with his worst post being

I'm willing to go with a warning if Artanis really wants it, but in his defense the situation was frustrating and he essentially stopped when asked to.

I agree. A warning seems fine to me as an upper limit; other players were complaining about his attitude after all. However, he stopped when asked and nothing he said was abusive enough to be banworthy all by itself.

Alright, I found Therapist.'s posts to be very disruptive of the atmosphere to the point where I felt he went too far, but I've been out of the loop for a while so I could be wrong. If you think it doesn't need a warning I can accept that.

At least for me, it isn't so much that he did or didn't go too far, it's that he wasn't aware of what your standards are compared to the rest of the forum. Sadly, that kind of posting isn't uncommon here (although maybe it should become less common, but that's a different debate). Regardless, the reason I think a warning at most is appropriate is because once you let him know what kind of environment you wanted to see in your thread, he followed that. Generally bans for this kind of thing are reserved for people who go completely out of control or they ignore warnings from the host to tone things down.
In the future, I would support a ban if you made it clear (preferably before the game started so people who have a problem with this have the option of not playing) that any sort of personal attack at all is unacceptable and modkill-worthy in your games, preferably with examples (like use of the word "idiot"), so people can understand the scale you're talking about. If you do that, then they are expected to understand where exactly the line is, and I don't think there would be much of a debate on this.

Would like to notify future hosts that Sinensis was modkilled for not voting. I'm not requesting a ban but he also had a fairly low in-thread activity level so use your best judgment as to whether or not you will give him a chance in any game you host.

Splinter[eP] got modkilled in my game for failure to vote. I'm not sure what the customary punishment for that is, if any.
AcesAnoka missed a vote as well but Nova_Terra (my cohost) spared him at the time (he got replaced later). I'm fine with a warning for both though I don't think Aces will be coming back to play with us either way as he indicated he didn't really enjoy the game.
