My impression was that they're really good only if things go along their very specific game plan. If that plan doesn't work, I think they most likely won't adapt fast enough to beat the team that was good enough to beat their initial game plan. I'll probably bet on Fnatic, but wouldn't be that surprised if FPX manages to beat them with clever drafts.

- Splyce get blasted by SKT, means we won't have a finalist contender drop out in their first series - Fnatic has a good chance vs FPX, curious how they perform. If Lwx actually plays well and we get to see FPX macro for real, will be a tough game, but probably easier opponent than GRF. - Group of death rewards Fnatic with not having to play vs SKT until finals. - Similarly, G2 should probably be happy that they were garaunteed to not face GRF, who looked way stronger than DWG by the end of groups. And both EU hopefuls aren't on the same side of the bracket. - iG is probably going to get destroyed by GRF, unless the lanes can carry their heavy junglers. But it could happen, iG have started to find form again, and GRF might make the mistake of trying to force mechanical out plays. My most likely finals would be SKT vs GRF, followed by G2 vs GRF.

I'll probably bet on Fnatic, but wouldn't be that surprised if FPX manages to beat them with clever drafts. A few things First, their play during playoffs, they fell just short of winning the split and played amazingly well. Second, FPX was by far the shakiest first seed team and had by far the easiest group of the tournament, compared to Fnatic who was in the hardest group of the tournament. This has me pretty confident that Fnatic should win the round of 8. Third, I don't trust Griffin in bo5 at all and neither should anyone else. They've been a categorically terrible team in best of 5 and that was when they had a coach. Sure they placed first in their group by smashing their final day, but I don't know how well that translates into a best of 5, so I expect iG to take that one. iG aren't quite in their worlds winning form and Fnatic proved last year they could stand with them until they got fully rolling. Fourth, they have G2 to beat SKT before the finals. I don't think any team at the tournament will beat SKT if SKT makes it to the finals. Finally, their mentality. Before the finals last year, Rookie said something to the effect of "What it comes to now is who wants to win more, and right now, that's us". Rekkles was talking in his winner's interview that the team finally started playing to win, and not playing because they're fearing losing. So I think if that's real and not just talk, they won't get stopped this time.* *Other than SKT who are on another level at world's finals

I think Xmithie played as well as expected other than the misplay bot in the IG game which sucked. Impact had a worse second week. But the big thing for me was that CoreJJ didn't play all that well in Worlds and MSI. Obviously offers a lot in shotcalling but his individual play was lacking.

Quarters Griffin vs IG FPX vs FNC G2 vs Damwon SKT vs Splyce Semis Griffin vs FNC SKT vs G2 Finals SKT vs Griffin I'm quite confident about G2 and SKT, but can't say the same about the top bracket. Griffin should beat IG. No idea about Fnatic, they can get 3:0d by FPX or win their semifinal 3:0.
