The dragon was actually pretty decent, all things considered. And if that's like ~55% power level of the dragon, imagine it in the hands of Faker or Maple...

Edit:

CLG's bans were absolutely garbage. I'd rather it they banned Azir than Ryze.

Wow what a fun game to watch!
BW. There will always be a special place in my heart for the game I spent 10 years to be mediocre at.

Was NA finals 6.8 too? I think they're better off banning Maokai and playing the Poppy/Ekko trade

Also considering their comp, not sure why they were afraid of Thresh.

With their comp Ali is way scarier.

Exactly. Ban Azir and Ali, then how do RNG engage onto them, assuming the top champs are swapped and it's Darshan on Poppy and RNG's top later on Maokai.

I know NA, EU, and LCK was played on 6.6, I think LPL, LMS, and IWCI was 6.6 too. So they should've known that Maokai > Poppy.

I mean if you think the Mao pick was the problem, I don't agree at all.

I don't think it was a "problem" but his Poppy plays are cleaner/better

I just think going back to p/b in a game where properly finishing is a >75% chance of win is a waste of time

When CLG had aced RNG and pushed for the inhib turret, there was no way they could've ended there when it's Mao, Braum, and Cait having to push through inhib turret, inhib, 2 nexus turrets, and the nexus itself in less than 25-30s (which is when Azir and Lucian were going to be back up).

Getting the inhib and taking dragon 1 was the right call. CLG played it sloppily, as did RNG. Both teams were messy in their engages, target selection, etc. But when CLG is drafting for a team comp that is looking to kite back and control the fight with Cait traps, Sol suns, Maokai humping an enemy carry, and Graves looking to dash around with smoke grenade fields, letting the enemy team have a guaranteed hard engage with Ali and sustained damage in Azir is giving up win% points to a team that knows how to use those champions really well.

Id agree. If huhi didn't dive 2 towers at 12 minutes, and Stixxay wasnt 300 range from the tower at bottom after first baron then CLG probably just won that fairly cleanly right after second Baron.

Those two throws alone gave RNG a solid 3k gold both times, and denied CLG of the tower gold both times. They basically swung the game 10k gold in the favour of RNG with those mistakes. Not sure if nerves or what.

They basically threw real hard a few times with dinky micro decision making.

Then the end, Darshan tree suicided at 40 minutes like lots of trees do. It's easy to forget that suddenly you aren't unkillable after being unkillable for 40 minutes.

Yeah, basically only have Ryze TP flanks.

I think if Flash Wolves engage though they probably have the better teamfight comp if someone doesn't get insta-wrecked.

Pillar in the middle of the team and then just run at them nice.

Also superior splitpush maybe idk?
Americans don't like to use unblockables, it is considered not honest. You press a button at the wrong time and hit the other person, you are random, not a top player. You DP Sim's far fierce, it is random and not honest.
