That Monte video is funny when combined with the post game interview with Stixxay. He basically said Wuxx seemed overly obsessed with killing him(stixxay), and they took advantage of it in teamfights.

It'sthe same reason they lost the fight in clgs base he e'd at Stixxay giving Darshan the stun that turned the fight and perhaps the game. In the monte video he walks right past kindred, who he could have put damage on from outside Azir's range, to try to get to Stixxay

RNG could've just straight up closed at that fight. Xiaohu already picked Azir off burning nothing except the deathmark. The mid inhibit (final inhibit was open) and Darshan whiffed his ult already. So you were looking at a 5v4 without Azir versus supers in base. RNG literally had to do everything wrong in order to get that lose outcome.

If Stixxay is American, it doesn't make him better than Steeelback was in Fnatic.
And Steeelback had way better numbers as well.

What stats are you comparing? Reg season vs regular season or msi vs msi?

in terms of stats stixxay does look good even though bang is still top in that regard for adc's

the amount of gold stixxay gets is unreal though
of ALL roles he gets 2% above 2nd most

crazy

CLG most definitely has AD as their top farm priority. Its one of the reasons why Huhi looks to underperform sometimes compared to other mid laners*

*Not that he doesn't straight underperform, But you combine that with low farm due to third priority and he looks downright bad

He has definitely been legit at MSI.

both darshan and huhi really (though darshan has been losing matchups straight up alot lol)

both are bottom of gold% for their roles

only darshan is 2nd to last above fabfabulous lol
xmithie 2nd to last as well above stomaged

so yeah the rest of clg are funneling a bunch of gold to stixxay

This is why I say put darshan on something like Ekko to pull him off these peel champions like Maokai and Poppy. People seem to prioritize Ekko over Poppy but I really don't think that's the case for CLG. They even managed to drop a game to SUP when Darshan picked Ekko.

Zion's Maokai is a pure meme-tier, can they not.
Not like I'm against it, if they're in semifinals against Flash Wolves, but still.

It's kinda a weird place where CLG as a team is succeeding having Darshan on Poppy/Maokai, even though he's individually suffering pretty badly for it.

Peel is strong when your AD has all the farm.

Additionally disruption works less well if your AP cannot capitalize. So he is probably playing the right champions.

I think it is fair to say that RNG probably should have won that game to stay undefeated. They threw real hard.

That being said, only reason they were undefeated in the first place is CLG fucked up their siege comp real hard in the tournament opener. Twice CLG was in full control, with a numbers advantage, and Aphro / Darshan just didn't zone on the tower so Stixxay could kill it, then they got flank engaged on. Even with Flash, an Ali should never be able to Combo onto the back line of a siege comp the way he did twice in positions where CLG had no threat of getting engaged on at all if Darshan / Aphro just did their job.

Both of those fights, CLG lost the fight hard (+1k gold given to RNG), then lost out on a free tower kill (-2k gold for CLG), and then had RNG take a tower of their own on the back of the teamfight cleanup. (+2k gold for RNG). Twice they basically threw away 5k gold for a total swing give away of 10k, and at the end of the game the gold was dead even. They basically had full control the whole time until they gave it away because Darshan / Aphro didn't know what their job was in the comp, and then they were still even / ahead.

Imo CLG's throws in the tournament opener are more egregious than RNG's in this latest game where CLG won.

I won't disagree that most of CLG's wins were very scrappy and back and forth.

That said, a win is a win. Let's not take credit away from CLG for taking games off RNG and SKT.

Oh definitely, was just pointing out how frequent it is that people discount wins NA / EU get over China / Korea, when often in China / Korea's wins they take advantage of the same mistakes on the other side.

I think there is a bit of a double standard.

Every team will make mistakes, its about being good enough to capitalize on them. If you aren't good enough you wont be able to capitalize on those mistakes.
