I think China got worse because: * Decision making got worse due to 10/12 teams having to deal with integrating two Koreans who didn't speak the same language. As such, the over all league had to adapt and the way it adapted was to become worse in decision making and simpler in strategy across the board, such that games became all about fighting randomly. After all, when you aren't able to speak in detail, you go for play styles that don't require such. * Individual skill on imported Koreans got worse because of worse practice environment ie bad scrim culture, worse solo queue. etc. Also because a lot of the Koreans are only here for the sign up money and didn't feel a lot of pressure as they don't plan to be in China long. * Individual skill on Chinese players got worse because of what was said above - ie the Korean imports carried a bunch of bad/washed up Chinese players who otherwise ought to have been kicked, but found themselves at Worlds because they got carried by their teams' money. * Bans and picks never improved because of coaching issues. Imported Korean coaches were too busy trying to communicate with Chinese players that they didn't have the time to keep up with strategies. * Visa issues affected final practice for IG and LGD ie the players had to go back to Korea to get visas and they weren't able to practice much before coming. | ||
