I don't particularly care about SK as such. The thing is, YFW won this game in the earlygame, by having a strategy that countered SK:s playstyle at every step. Something like that will generally only work once, and despite this the SK laners were massively ahead in terms of farm. That just tells me that SK members were more skilled, and that a better pick/ban combined with a tailored earlygame strat and bad reactions from SK won YFW this game. Unless they had more strategies prepared against SK it's just very unlikely that they would win in a longer series. It would only work once if SK wasn't completely known for being a one trick pony with their mid-game transitions also subject of mics: BZZZZZZZZZT BZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZZZZ BZZZZZZZZZT On March 14 2015 22:31 Solaris.playgu wrote: Not at all, there are many strategies that are viable. And no, it's two bo1:s with a full day inbetween. Hardly the same as a bo2. It can be thought of as a Bo2 because YFW clearly learned and adjusted for the second game.

I swear these types of arguments are very close to the arguments that a macro game in SC2 is the only way to play, its stupid. *You need to sit afk in lane for 30 minutes and they have a 5v5 battle decide who wins the game through sheer individual laning* Also its 1-1 vs SK, so yeah.. it really isnt a bo1 in this case Not at all, there are many strategies that are viable. Spirit, is it time to beat CJ Entus again? On March 14 2015 22:31 AlterKot wrote: I mean if YFW put up a fight against TSM (even lose 0-2 but not in a dominant fasion) then I re-evaluate my opinion on SEA. Until then I consider this an upset. Upset =/= disgrace.

Of course they adjusted. They adjusted by watching another team play against SK and defeating them, and by forging an earlygame strategy that was tailored against SK:s earlygame play. Which is not something that could be done in a bo2 series due to time-restraints. Which means that it cannot be thought of as a bo2.

Look, I don't watch LMS, I don't know if YFW is the second coming of TPA or whatever. Every international tournament in past 3 years proved that SEA is the worst region by noticeable margin. I know a lot of people already wrote of SK, but I genuinly thought they would get to semis against CJ and put up a fight. "Disgrace" is a joke exaggeration, but in a sense that I still think SK is a team of caliber that shouldn't have lost to YFW. I mean the tournament proved they aren't, but just how I imagined them prior to today.

Yoe/TPA are way stronger than they were before and in bo1 they can give run for money to any teams in the world but top Korean/Chinese teams. Did SK underrate YoeFW? Of course they did. Since that day, they won't. Okay comp by WE, actually, just don't need to die. Even with Xiye's tp, eh.
