Actually, lots of people think EDG will be the most dominant team in the coming LPL. Top 10 of the challenger rank have more than 5 EDG accounts. On the other hand, many people are doubting OMG because their players are going downhill. I know both Gogoing and Loveling played big during S4, but their regular season performance has a lot to be desired, and they are not doing that well in Soloq either. Uzi needs a good support, which OMG can not provide at this moment. Honestly speaking, LPL has a serious lack of support talent at the moment, almost all of them except the couple of Korean ones and LGD.PYL are questionable.

By the way, Kid has earned himself the nickname "Magneto" in the past year: he got hooked too many times.

So the PLU website has posted the rosters, most notable things are that OMG will start with cloud as their support. Mouse will start over FZZF, LGD will start with acorn, iG are running save/kakao/zztai as their solos and VG will have hetong as their starting mid.

Worth noting that M3 ain't going to run SmLz as starter as well even though it was slightly expected, Mata is starter in VG apparently and Gamtee has new flashy, sick and flamboyant uniform.

teams i'm interested in following are edg and ig.

edg is probably the best team in the world atm given the skt clusterfuck. they always had pretty decent decisionmaking and infrastructure. hard to see them not doing well.

ig is purely to see rookie's development. i cannot fathom ig's decisionmaking if they don't field rookie but i guess that's ig for you

I'm interested in OMG just to see if more teams will bend for Uzi or will someone finally man-up and tell him to hunker down and play for the team.

Then again, I'm honestly wondering if rumors of his ill-temper and composure is exaggerated or is it really just like a kid's tantrum.

What do people think about LGD's chances? It looks like theyre pretty stacked everywhere except in the jungle. Obviously individual skill =/= team success but lots of the top LPL teams are going to have to get around the communication barriers

I fear that Ruo might end up being a huge drag for M3. His WE performance was lackluster at best.

Quan has a lot to prove, but I think he has the potential to improve. His soloq shows that he's trying to increase his champ pool and with the stacked lanes it's hard to believe he'll have trouble getting a lane snowballing. I have LGD taking 3rd.

There's a bug where it doesn't update the calendar/upcoming events appropriately, the event is starting in a day, not in 8 minutes.

Chexx is aware of the bug and we'll try to get it fixed soontm.

LPL for the opening week will not have any live audience. Because of the mass crash during the new year's eve celebration which killed dozens of people, all mass gatherings in Shanghai has been banned, including LPL apparently.
