This is not soloQ. Akali was picked last on purple. Try to counterpick that. And they had a fair bit of CC with varus ult, lee sin ult and yasuo knockup. That's pretty meh CC in the team, really. Lee Sin's CC is very conditional, Yasuo's is tough to hit and conditional. Varus ult isn't true CC and support and top have nothing.

SSW just outplayed the shit out of SSB. That's really all that happened that game.

I'd bet a nickel on that if Kayle/Zil ults would've saved people from Akali assassinations, people would go "omg, picking Akali vs a team with Kayle and Zil, just bad!". Those ults well used in a close game could totally shut down an Akali. SSW had no need to commit though, if you look at their comp it's actually a disengage + poke comp. They could have just as easily baited out kayle and zil ulti with just pawn. especially with lack of sustain from SSB. that's the first time I've heard a Rengar+Akali combo called a poke comp the only poke champion on White is Jayce, who can double as a midgame assassin with his EQRQE combo. Janna has a strong disengage sure, but Janna was used more as teamfight disruption than actual disengage. That's why I call it a poke comp, not a siege comp. It was more of a skirmish comp all thing considered, but how it plays out is with poke early on, into engage, in teamfights. The rengar was just good to start the snowball, and allowed for jump in later on, when SSW snowballed it out.
SSW getting all the picks they want I feel, but SSB does have Janna + Ryze.

One poke championdoesn't make your comp a poke comp.

Three new picks already in two matches lol

Red side seems better to me you get two op champs and a counter pick. Why do people consider blue op when you only get the one op pick? Is zed/Mao/Ali that good?
