Saint knocking out a tilting CLG would go down in history as one of the greatest League moments.

Thank god we are getting 10 spots so crap teams like H2K get a second chance at free Riot money.

Watching those teams will suck initially, but imo it's good for growth. People need to give these teams and players time. In pro sports people don't shit on rookies when they first come up to the majors. LCS players deserve a little time to develop too, and playing against the top team in scrims and in season will force those teams to grow quickly or be eliminated next split.

Expanding the structure of LCS is definitely not good for growth. It's not about how the team(s) that start playing in LCS for the first time improve over time, it's about how good the amateur scene is in terms of how often they can play against teams better than them. In the Challenger Scene, the teams that are currently competing for spots in LCS have nobody they can play that are strictly better than them in COMPETITIVE games. Sure Krepo's little tweet talks about scrims, but scrims are never going to be good enough indicators of how good a team is supposed to be. If you can't perform in the big stage, you're about as good as that.

An infrastructure that Riot should employ to foster growth is the current rendition of OGN Champions and NLB (and lower). There are qualifier tournaments into OGN Champions. There are qualifiers to get into NLB. There are tournament SPOTS for teams that lose early in OGN (group stage, qualifiers, bracket stage), INTO NLB and gives the amateur teams that play in NLB more chances to play against teams better than them AT the competitive level, not in scrims. There's a clear disconnect between the LCS and Challenger Series and it shows every time they play out relegations. Riot has to figure this all by themselves because there's no way in hell any other tournament organizer is going to help.

Saint will probably out jungle Dexter, since he lost the will to live at some point this split. Keane might even beat Link.

But Seraph and Rush Hour are going to take a massive steaming shit all over CA's side lanes.

Actually CW are performing as well as I expected, it's just that CS sucks, so nothing to get hyped about :/

EU is such a big region you could expect something better in theory.

I don't think the size matters that much - look at China, where OMG - top3 team in the region - can't find a decent support (ps. Xpecial knows Mandarin).

Here's my understanding of Challenger Scene. Until recently, EU teams heavily believed in importance of stability of the roster. That means the worst teams would be trash like Giants, Dragonborns or MyM. So if you wanted to play in LCS, you could literally pick one good player, one decent and two shitters (Bjergsen's CW), beat teams that have 0 good players and grats, you can start enjoying your Riot salary. Then Lemondogs basically thought "If we have 5 good players and no shitters, then we're gonna beat everyone" which made everyone realise how important it is to replace bad players with better ones. CW and ROC managed to grab some good enough players to get in LCS, but that was it - by summer, bottom 4 teams became obsessed with roster changes. Couple that with NA snatching some really good players who need replacements, others getting banned/in contract limbo (forgiven) and needing replacements, and suddenly you are in a world were not even all established players are in LCS, anyone who even shows promise almost immediately gets a spot on an LCS team. And even if top2 teams in CS have players on similar level to bot2 teams in LCS (and that's pretty much the best they can get), they didn't spend 3 months playing League 12 hours a day against best teams in the region, while their relegation opponents did. That's why I think it's extremely unlikely that we will ever see new teams in LCS, unless an LCS team straight up disbands Lemondogs style. I guess there could be an upset in the expansion tournament, and then that team could drop next split, but that's it.

Heh spent whole game writing this.

It's definatly not easy. Not saying its not possible that a team comes up that is so good and passionate that they make it.
Since the LCS teams really get this steps ahead of the challenger scene it looks like that having a good organisation behind them is even more important for challenger teams.

The DL hate is sad. I don't really get why he is such a villain for certain people considering his interviews are fairly modest. He's already admitted multiple times that his trash talking is more for the audience and something he does to build hype/ build his brand.

IIRC zoonies was shotcaller for XDG, if they can do some of the 2ndplace vulcan strats, CLG should be able snowball early game advantages.

They won't be Curse anymore since Curse would have to sell Curse Academy to another rule due to the LCS no two teams owned by same owner rule. In fact, it's not even guaranteed that St.V will stay in the team if he has to leave the Curse brand.

Hope you are not referring to me because I dont have a problem with him. Just with the attention towards him and the same old story that is basically the same for 2 years sraight now. It is just tiresome.

More importantly, if you drop out of OGN groups, then you are out of the premier league half-way through and best amateur teams can instantly test themselves against those pro dropouts. In LCS, you can just sit comfortably for 3 months and practice 12 hours a day to ensure no group of students playing league as part-time will beat you.
Americans don't like to use unblockables, it is considered not honest. You press a button at the wrong time and hit the other person, you are random, not a top player. You DP Sim's far fierce, it is random and not honest.
