EG are playing "Everyone protect Altec" strategy. When Doublelift was playing it and was praised, there were simply no opponents for him, who could stand against his laning and stuff.
Doublelift still holds beast laning and plays in rotations-based team when he can't splitpush and farm for ages.
In a year he will probably retire or start declining at least to become NA Woong and we will have WT-Altec fight for #1 spot. But it won't be same.

I was hoping MIL - Gambit would be a much better game, but Kerp is really stepping it up the last few games. I don't think Gambit can do anything about it.
