If C9 had Lulu jax can actually engage and dive in with lulu shield and ult

yeah Jax had to run away every fight because they were a poke camp fighting 5 full hp people. If they had this early game while having an actual teamfight comp then Jax could have gotten hooked and done his thing regardless. Instead he now had to run away because C9 can not win a clean 5v5
He also built "splitpush Jax" with BotRK and Triforce before any defensive items, so of course when he gets hooked even with his ult they can't just jump into a straight 5v5. Shoulda stayed splitpushing more but after the disaster at dragon they didn't exactly have that luxury anymore with the momentum swing.

They weren't a poke comp, they were just a 'comp' and it didn't work. Twitch Jax and Eve are hardly looking to poke down before a hard engage, they want to fight, but they kept getting forced into fights they don't want by bad positioning and fantastic Thresh hooks.
Personally I never like the Nidalee pick. Probably better to put link on something useful for team fights. Besides that, just ban Thresh because Allen is just godly on that champion.
Balls won lane big time versus Gogoing to the point OMG were forced to try and lane swap. Link somehow also beat Xiyang in lane by a small margin. C9 bot lane lost by a small margin as well. Big difference though, was superior objective control for c9 for the majority of the game. They simply lost the teamfights because Allen hit key books on balls every time to initiate and thus their biggest hitter was vaporized before he could do anything every time.

Those hooks hurt my soul.
inb4 C9 wins this game and then loses Game 3 to cheesy level one bush strats.
C9 didn't lose teamfights just because Allen hit key hooks; they lost teamfights because they didn't have a team comp and instead just 5 champions more or less tacked onto each other. You can't pick a 'comp' where pretty much every champion has a completely different focus and expect to do well fighting 5v5 vs what is one of the best possible teamfighting comps. The only semblance of 'synergy' in C9's picks was Eve + Zyra ults. Their only chance to win 5v5s would've been baiting OMG into overextending to land a good Zyra/Eve combo on the turnaround, but that never happened due to misplays and lack of vision - nevermind that it's not something you can pull off reliably against a team as experienced as OMG, anyway.
Not to take anything away from Allen, his Thresh is amazing - but simply banning Thresh wouldn't have changed anything in that game.
