wish there were more teams in the LCS or that is was more accessible to the Challenger scene. Denial will be smashed 3-0, sadly we will watch CW again but probably they will improve and sub cowTard at least. You're underestimating C9E a lot i guess. I will take Odoamne and especially, Febiven, 9 times from 8 over Mimer and Selfie, and i guess, Santorin ofc is no k0u but still decent. Only chance for SHC is that Hjarnan-Voidle factor when they go to feed intentionally after losing early game. But i still will risk and go with C9E 3-2(1) just because i want to see what organisation did Jack and Dan create. NiP are probably 70-30 favourites over {M}, but i wonder how did 4.5 hit Kerp and nukeduck, so i assume, nukeduck will play TF tonight as much as possible, banning Ziggs and Lulu and leaving Kerp with Orianna which i don't remember him playing. kev1n and Zorozero will be on par, Creaton and Jree will have to step up huge like in good old summer days and then Millenium have chance. And i hope that KottenX learned something except for Kha'Zix and will teach Hulberto how to make plays. Dunno, 3-1 for NiP is looking like strong prediction but after NiP were destroyed by C9E and knowing how streaky are {M} and how fast NiP can go on tilt, i have no idea what will happen if Millenium take game 1. Coast-CLB will be with same level of competition like CW-Denial, Wizfujin will carry, 3-0. Guess, it's not Westrice's destiny to play in LCS. Robert, at least, played 2 games. EG-C9T will be all about Snoopeh who steps up always in playoffs, i have no idea what Pobelter is playing right now, but i assume they will just ban Ziggs, Nidalee and Orianna and take Lulu or even leave Ziggs if Pobelter is sure in his power against Bischu. I don't think that Pete and Krepo will feed to Altec and Gleeb, but it's only beacon of salvation for C9T with all my love to them. 3-1 EG or even 3-0 if Bischu chokes hard like always if Altec will be forced to play 4v0s. XDG-LoMoQ will be sickest matchup, if XDG takes game 1, then it will be very close. If LMQ takes it, then 3-0. Hope that mancloud can step up and i'm quite interested in what XWX will play if XDG bans out Nidalee and Orianna and will take Ziggs/Lulu just. I will risk and go with 3-2 XDG. wish there were more teams in the LCS or that is was more accessible to the Challenger scene. NA already is 3+5, why do they need to make LCS bigger? To see more stomps? EU is close, but in general, 8 teams format seems ok if they finally introduce bo2 formats and not bo1. So the idea that because NA is currently very divided so expanding the league is a waste overlooks how league play typically works. The larger the number of organizations in a league, the more opportunity to showcase talent, and the greater the chance of finding new talent. Also, as the strength of the top teams increases, the overall skill will also increase, although more slowly. If you add, let's say, 4 teams from Challenger into LCS to make it 12 teams format - who will stay in Challenger scene? There will be no growth of talent, because if you want to grow you need to play with better, and all guys who're better will be in LCS, scrimming with each other. And strength of top teams won't increase either, they will just stagnate in this peaceful format without competition. Except we know that's not true. C9 got better. TSM even got a little better. CLG got a lot better. We actually know that top teams will improve because they want to win internationally. You are literally ignoring that the NA LCS split proves this isn't the case. You know why did C9 become better? Because TSM and C9 aren't as pathetic as last season and can provide at least some kind of opposition. And it's not because competition got stronger because other 5 teams just became mediocre at best. There is no reason to think that if we have 12 teams in LCS with bo2 format, then suddenly, Curse, Dignitas and, let's say, EG, will be on same level as C9.
I didn't even REMOTELY say that. Not even a little. You are being willfully obnoxious, so I am done replying. The fact is, top teams will not stagnate anymore or less if we add teams, but more top level players have teams to get on to and showcase their skill. It can only help the scene to get as many good players into the league as possible. There will be a delayed rise in a new challenger scene, but so many players would love to go pro, more will step up. It is short sighted to think the most popular game in the world has peaked in NA already.

Ye, because of it there are 2,5 toplaners in NA, because the most popular game in the world hasn't peaked. This hype for NA happen every time before any international competition and every season there are same words about delayed rise and how NA will find their glory.

He was in Fox Sound iirc, so i guess he's not absolute amateur in this case. Impaler has his moments of brilliance, new patch can help him i guess.

honestly I think the only reason NiP didn't qualify last time is because they seemingly had no idea what heroes were good on that patch, that said, I'm hoping they lose so that CLG can have Zorozero

They just got cocky, choosing KMT was ridiculous even before they lost, when there were SHC and even CW. KMT just adapted better to game, seeing that NiP aren't willing to do shit, 1-3-1 pushed, then Nukeduck picked Riven into Kayle, then they just lost to Nidalee.

Choosing KMT wasn't a bad idea at the time, SHC looked strong in the promos while KMT felt like they got in because of TCM's quantic level collapse during the round robin. In the games however NiP did play way too cocky playing their usual safe and fairly passive game when they had renektons and rivens vs kayles, vaynes and jaxes. Also hyrqbot's amumu missing near literally everything when running engage heavy comps around the amumu sucks

I feel like management of CLG and Nien should also take blame. Nien just isn't a top laner where as he is/was top class in bot and pretty good in mid. He was put into an impossible position that I think would only not turn out like this if CLG were forever mediocre. As soon as CLG started doing well the weakness of Nien just became more and more the focal point.
He gambled away his career the minute he decided to go play something he couldn't do for a big team instead of playing something he is incredibly good at in a lesser team. He did the same thing where he left Quantic to join Marn a team that lucked into LCS and had a whole host of problems. Nien might be a nice guy but if you always try take the easy option every time eventually it's going to catch up to you.
Honestly the only reason why the CLG members are so upset about Nien I think is because they are still stuck in their mindset of mediocrity. Nien had to go for them to ever contend with C9 let alone contend on a world scale. They are just too used to being a middle of the pack NA team to realize this. Whether Nien quit because of the community or not doesn't change the fact that the decision was the right thing to do.
The craziest thing is the minute CLG picked up someone that was actually good in their role they suddenly become a much better team.

clg should just grab an korean. you can work out the communication over the weeks but they are good players so the basics are fine.

KMT still were basically only team who won something in Challenger scene while Shook and Rekkles were playing for CW who were dominating. Ofc, except Tenerife, but TCM collapsed so fast that it wasn't funny at all. SHC were very one-dimensional team, NiP could easily abuse Haydal, Moopz and Mimer with banning Vi, only jungler which Impaler played back in those days.
hyrqbot's Amumu was sick, even TOO's Evelynn against C9 had more pressure.

Doublelift said that Nien was bad/mediocre in laning and they were expected him to become solid next split, but they don't care about it at all, because Nien was hard-working and willing to do everything what team needs because toplane is accessory in current meta and doesn't provide anything (if you're not Shy or Flame ofc). And he's very concerned that they won't find anyone who's as hard-working and ready to do sacrifice everything for team in chasing the dream.
