To me it is smart play. Could they have ended earlier ? Probably, but I don't see the point of going for a dive if you don't need to. You're saying as if there's a sizeable risk in diving when you're 20k ahead with jax and akali. that's not a risk.

SK didn't prepare for 4.5 at all.

Monte gonna be very disappointed when he's gonna wake up.

Pretty sure Koreans know how to play this game. edit: and just as i say this, xaxus gets caught out trying to split push. you got 2nd baron, just 5 man the shit out sk and win. Stop saying "koreans do this, therefore i'm right" to every single thing anybody says to you, it's completely irrelevant to the point and just makes you look like a clueless fanboy. I'm not saying that. RouaF claims that my claim that "roccat should dive this" comment is a bullshit claim, cuz i'm not a pro player. I'm saying the best pro players would do exactly what I was saying. If you got that kind of 20k lead, why are you still splitpushing? I mean, it's not like their comp was bad at diving. also this is the similar complaint i've had about coast (my fav NA team), when they've gotten ahead with zionspartan's jax. I don't normally post here but here's some esports history for you. Ever since the early BW days Korea has always played extremely aggressive and looked to exploit advantages through aggression (macro play really only came about late into BWs life span and was arguably influenced by early top Euros). Europe has always preferred a 'get more ahead' mindset preferring to drag out games longer than necessary to take a 99% win to a 100% win. This trend continued into SC2 and arguably LoL (war3 possibly being an exception to this).
I disagree. There's just as much macro play in early day BW Korea (Boxer was the famous one for doing mostly micro plays since that was his forte). It's just that in Asia, they tend to prefer styles that take more aggressive risks while Western players traditionally prefer safer plays. That's why eventually Eastern scenes tend to overtake Western ones since you're more likely to build up your skills by doing riskier plays versus waiting for your opponent to make mistakes (which is more likely to happen when a scene is undeveloped).

ROCCAT composition is very similiar to fnatics comp in their first game. Outheal/sustain enemy.

Wei2diveman, it's all about the different styles of play for each team. It's not even categorized by region. It's a team by team basis. There are teams such as Invictus Gaming that will headhunt and dive regardless of how far ahead or behind they are, given that the see the right opportunity. Then there are teams like Alliance who will never do that because that's not how Froggen plays. Even within China, not every team plays that bloodthirsty, aggressive playstyle that's commonly thought of by many analysts and pros.
It's very hard to change your tendencies if you've been playing the same way for years.

really good play from SK early game, roccat should have just given up their outter turrets. the real problem was that lulu is behind in farm. Letting eve get some kills is good for SK but 4k gold early game is only a couple items ahead anyways...
Roccat is still strong! GoGoGo teamfight . They are totally not that far behind. Love candy panda's pushing, but jesiz has so much farm !

It's been the same way for ages since CLG.EU came around and basically invented the 60 minute stall game. It makes games super fucking boring because they legitimately sit around for 7 minutes at a time and wait for the next baron when they could be you know doing shit.
But you can't deny it is very effective. It's just basically choking and starving you out and eventually overwhelming you because you're like 25k behind.
