Yeah it was either an hour or 30 minutes it sold out. 11k is the general consensus on # of people at Staples

Ideally we could make a chart with visual data on when his backside frequency spikes and get a backside per minutes statistic as well.
I was gonna say verbal diarrhea but that is much better

Can someone give me some pointers on what I should be looking for, how lanning works and the teams that are on the finals? I'm familiar with moba's. The gold total (displayed at the top of the screen) will be the key indicator of who is ahead. LoL has a pretty standard formation - the positions are named for their role so the AD carry is the #1 carry, mid is generally #2 (think Dendi) Top is #3, Jungle is #4, Support is #5 (ward bitch) Royal club are Chinese, star player is their ad carry, Uzi SK Telecom are Korean and the favourites, their star player is Faker, who is probably the best player in the world at the moment. The pregame show will probably give you a good indication of the teams though. Do feel free to ask questions in the thread, we'll try to make sure we convert people into LoL fans :p
Thank you, kind sir.
You said ''standard formation'', I'm assuming teams don't usually double/tri lane, or even abandon one?
Also, the carry farms bot, and support tries to leech some xp from jungle I guess?

Yeah, it should be more than last year's Galen Center which was around 8k, but below full capacity which is 15k at Staples Center.

I'm hoping I get to see Faker Zed at least one game. Probably not though

there's a better chance that faker has a cold and bisu is subbing than that

An event like this would have way more than 11k if there was more places

Quickshot is the man, always the professional but entirely passionate at the same time

Here's some lane match up preview/ game preview which might help you a bit too:

Also Bot lane is the duo lane. The AD carry + Support lane and fight. The support brings the utility(stuns/cc) while the AD does the damage.

It's over 1/2 so over 10k people for a live esports event is fine in my books, and considering the screen size they'd be hard pressed to get more people in that wouldn't have a guaranteed shit tier viewing experience.

Laning is somewhat flexible but generally the AD and support go bottom lane, the mid goes mid and the top, is top. The support is the babysitter of the AD carry in lane. Its not set in stone, but those standard lanes occur in 50% of games, while occassionally teams will send their solo laner against the ad and support in a 1v2 lane, which is matchup dependent
